That Minelab Equinox 900 is just one incredible metal detector. I love that red back light. I personally think the light on the Equinox looks, nice and tight. Minelab absolutely rocks

Yes Chuck, the 900 is exceptional in it's depth, speed and low chatter in salt water. Almost unmatched. The red backlight is OK. It works.

Nokta has a much better light..must say

I received my 900 a few days ago and my flashlight is more like the simplex. I think your 900 flashlight might be damaged !!!

I have one of the very first 900's. Its possible the LED was changed 🙂. For a test perhaps put the 6 inch coil on your 900 and see if it looks like the video I shot. I was using the 6" coil. By now Ive used the 900 LED about 200 hours and it hasn't failed. I sold the Simplex to a buddy.

But No More Updates on it.... but just New Detector's for us to buy, but it's a Bye Bye to the Simplex/ Notka Brands for Me, and not buying anything else from them anymore.......
