An update. This channel isn't even my main channel so I haven't been on it since I Uploaded this video 9 months ago. Didn't realize this video popped off and that everyone liked it. Let's hope the 2023 storm season is as good as last year. About me. I am visually impaired which means I can't see as well as most. I live near Tulsa Oklahoma which is where this was recorded. I have always had an interest in whether ever since I was a little kid. This channel is more or less my personal channel that I use for stuff that happens in real life. My other channel is a gaming oriented channel which focuses on my online life. I'm not going to link to my other channel because I like to keep the two separate.

The positive strike at 10:38... For thunder to be THAT loud while the sirens are blaring must've been enough to cause some hearing damage. I'd shit myself and run inside if I ever experienced that. 😱

i had something like this happen to me last august at 02:15 the storm was so bad and frequent cg lightning storm was capable of producing tornados but wasnt able to. it is super rare for tornados to touch down here in glen cove ny but we had one in august of 2005 a supercell dropped a ef1 short lived tornado. that tornado took down trees that split a house in half it also took down tree throughout the north shore of long island ny as well as massive damage to buildings

I knew right away without radar or anything else just form the lightning alone this storm was strengthening into a tornadic supercell. That's pretty much the only time you get such intense positive lightning being outside the storm base is when there's such rapid intensification occurring in a tornadic storm. (Powerful positive strikes initiate miles up in the cloud tops and produce this explosive sounding thunder as in the vid).

You're right. A thunderstorm once passed through here and it was producing a lot of lightning. But it was only positive lightning and hail. Well, after a few minutes, I looked out the window, only to witness a tornado forming right on top of us. Thankfully it only stayed as a funnel cloud, but it did get very close to the ground, almost touching my pine tree. I also noticed that the rain and hail stopped when the funnel cloud was on top of us but then it continued once the funnel cloud dissipated.

Sound effect of bombs going off....very close and strong lightning strikes. Sirens sound a bit eerie. Shortly after those 2 thunder (real thunder) almost sound like muffled gun shots. Even more intense right after. Was your house behaving like a lightning rod??

Seems to be a lot of positive cg lighting in this video which is unusual. I think the camera should have been facing eastward because that seems to be where most of the lightning is. And lastly , this is one of the best thunderstorm videos on KZread because it's long, great sound with less talking and editing and repeating sequences. I just wish you film another intense storm like this!
