Just signed my new, pre-owned XC 60 and can´t wait to get it! And I am not even interested in cars, lol! Will for sure be a huge upgrade from my existing Toyota Rav4 2008- drive :)

I ended going with the Genesis GV80 4-cylinder. The XC60 T8 hybrid is a very nice vehicle but I decided after researching hybrids that some mfg have long-term issues because there are more parts to go wrong. My next vehicle will be fully electric with at least 600 miles of range.

@@realMysta I bought it before Tiger Woods become its crash test dummy. It has a lot of pick-up and is fun to drive. I have had so many people tell me they like the looks of the SUV and even a few say is that the car that Tiger crashed?

I did place an order for another fun USA made electric Aptera's $28,500 0-60mph in 3.5-second vehicle coming out early next year with a 250-mile range or up to 1000 miles with a larger battery pack that charges 200 miles overnight using standard 120-volt household receptacles or 180 miles in 15 minutes using any 50kW charger. Plus, their vehicle is "Driven by the Sun so it means I could actually never charge.

@@Carl_in_AZ I just saw that one the other day on Jay Leno YT vid. Absolutely amazing range with the big battery and solar panels, but only a 2 seater. Still, I would get that if I could still have an PHEV SUV for moving people and stuff.

@@neko28-x2w There is no lag for rear motors. But there is turbo lag / lag when starting engine while being in EV mode.

Did the electric only range drop from previous iterations? I thought i remember hearing it had 28 miles range in electric only?

No. Volvo upgraded the battery starting with cars manufactured after Nov 2021. This brings the electric range on XC60 from 19 to 32 miles. Battery has been steadily increasing since they introduced it in ~2016.

Front fog lights are not available on the recharge at all. I was told that space is needed for cooling on these models.

PHEV VERSION. The singular most disappointing aspect of the charge system is it inability to set a charge timer either through the car or app. So unless you have a smart home charger people like me on an economy 7 tariff need to be nocturnal to benefit from off peak charging. Volvo UK offer no solution. A retrograde step from earlier models and spoiling my enjoyment of a brand new car!
