This isn’t criticism Sam but is it possible to correct and update the video after the fact? I was always curious on that topic as I see videos years later with minor edit issues that seem to be easily corrected. Just curious if it’s a time/cost issue or some other reason preventing an updated video from being posted. In this case it’s. Minor typo that’s largely irrelevant but it obviously bugs some people enough to post nasty comments. 😞

Was watching an s4 race of us the other day he was in the s4 the race was close and then the owner drove it instead of Sam and smoked the guy

Love the format. Nice 🎄btw! Gearing, weight and electronics are dialed in. Atop bi-turbo’s are magnificent, that’s where they shine. Well planted and even the G55’s are impressive and surprise many. Keep it coming brother.

Well the 1st 2 races were in 'normal' mode and the traction control would kick in heavy for the merc being it has so much tq. So I wouldnt even count those.

I got a w205, and I gotta say I'm impressed by the supra! Ofc I expected a slow start of the mercedes specially with that auto gear box

I sold my C63S last year, but I remember the transmission becomes fully manual on race mode. I didn't see any paddle operation in the video.

I really appreciate and enjoy most of the races brought to us by you and your team. Thank you so much. But I don't know why sometimes when I see your bit aggressive response to the annoying viewers' post (among which most of them are either very silly or annoying) upsets me. You don't need to do that. You can easily overlook them by not responding. Just a thought wanted to share with you.

If the cones at the end of the runway mark the end of the race. how are you saying you got them at the end when the supra was clearly past the cones already?

Yeah it’s because it’s a heavy car. They look and sound great. But are heavy.

Traction being on for the dig races on the c63 cuts a lot of power slows it down🤦🏾‍♂️

I'm guessing you mean when he did the 1st 2 races in comfort mode with the 1st one not counting because the supra used launch control. And yes the traction control would kick in badly for the merc because of the extra torque. The REAL races are when in sport mode and also the roll race. I dont know why Sam seems to think 2 'normal' mode races is necessary. I like the effort and most of the content just not the editing and the 2 'normal' mode races.

BMW & Mercedes both make great engines! Props to the Supra for being down on 2 Cylinders and staying in front most of the race!

@Onyii Ilo . You salty? The Merc makes more than 25% HP and TQ and still loses 1/4 mile races. The merc is a beast and is awesome as well. The supra is lighter. If you put the same engine cylinders and a turbo in both the merc would still lose. The supra is lighter.

This c63s isn’t launching properly it’s the issue with it. It will trash the m4 and m3 in a rolling race. Remember that in everyday driving what we do is a rolling race.

How is the GR Supra being launched? Is the driver using launch control or brake boosting to a certain RPM in first gear? These cars are pretty hard to launch from a dig in stock configuration without wheel spin.

It's actually pretty easy to launch, the Merc is the one that would be harder to launch with more weight, 2WD and more torque.

We need to get a drone shot and maybe put it in the corner as a square 🤞🏽

What happened to the dragy times you said you were going to start doing?

Probably my favorite match up from this channel and it’s the worst races I’ve ever seen. What was this? I love how this channel doesn’t waste any time at all and just races the cars but please know what you’re doing.

I have the 2021 Lexus IS 350 FSport and the type s will beat it. I raced my partner 2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line and it kept up with me and it only has 290hp.

This AMG C63 S Coupe is an 2018 and below year, with 7 speed MCT transmission. not the 2019 and up with 9 speed.

*c63s* my 2020 mustang gt smokes the c63 and keeps up with the c63s but the extra power of the c63s keeps it a car length ahead

it is. youtube other videos. the M3 whoops in off the line and from a roll. bmw just has better drive train efficiency. google 2021 m3 vs 2021 C63. M3 3.0L inline-6 (6 cylinder) 503HP , c63 4.0 V8 503hp . m3 wins

@@alexion7160 The m3 is newly remodeled as well as that the sick ass m4. The c63s had nothing new done to it spec wise since 2016. The new c63s coupe will be optional with 630hp and a dramatically faster 0 - 100 sprint. I am interested to see what happens when on an even playing field. Should be good as it always is.

The problem is the merc has too much power for it to be rear wheel and needed to be all wheel drive to really put it down off the line. The v8 biturbo prevents awd system from being implemented for this model as there is no room to put it. This thing still picks up disturbingly fast rolling and off the line.

@@spian true but itll be a 4 cylinder engine out of the a45s plus an electric motor. Cars are at a point where straight line speed shouldn't be a priority. Id rather have the 2016 c63 with the 4L twin turbo v8 over the 2023 c63 4cylinder with an electric motor even if the 2023 is faster (which it will be ) . Atleast the m3 and m4 still have the character of an inline 6

@@spian I didnt bother reading past the first few sentences because you didn't comprehend what i said. The 2023 c63 will be a 4 cylinder. rubbish. Its going to be quicker in a straight line but it takes away all the character and emotion. Electric cars already won the numbers game. Merc is not known to kill anything on the track. The m5 comp is faster around the track than a E63s, not even considering the m5 CS kills it . The x5m kills the GLE63 on the track. The m2 cs kills the a45s on the track

Less weight is an advantage off the line, more HP is an advantage at high speeds (with comparable power to weight ratios). Big HP overcomes air resistance at higher speeds. Generally speaking of course, there are many variables in transmissions and drive ratios, tire diameter, etc...

The thing about it is the Supra is extremely faster with some simple bolt-ons which was what was originally intended by the car. But then sometime mid 2020 they started encrypting the bosch ECU so none of the tuner companies (but maybe just one) could do anything with it which was dumb.

And as always it proves that BMW underrates engine power output. Can’t wait to get that M3 Xdrive allocation. Than 63S won’t stand a slight chance against that one, although the new 63S hybrid will be a monster for sure.

@@760rudogg yup! You are correct but also look for actual WHP on those Supra and you will see that the power these put down don’t correlate to the drivetrain loss. These more like 450. If you look for other BMW you will find the same pattern. Again yes the weight is importan as the acceleration is basically dictated by power/weight assuming the drivetrain is up to the task

So question here. Is the BMW Z4 with this same engine equally as fast? I don't hear anything about the Z4 (admittedly not specifically looking for content) and I'm curious if Toyota did something special with the Supra that makes a significant difference (additional weight savings, tuning, etc.) Anyone know?

The new C63 AMG has been teased online and is rumored to have over 600hp, if they add the 4Matic system to the C63 AMG then the M3 Xdrive will have some work to do.

Unfortunately we don’t know if the guy in the Toyota backed off sooner it’s hard to tell without trap speeds. But realistically it should be charging hard it’s got 130 more horsepower and at least that in torque it’s not even a fair comparison really. Not to mention the price tag.

Hey i’m the owner in the vid! Believe it or not i was planning on getting a M340i before the Supra. Obviously same engine and numbers but much more practical with the X-Drive. From what i’ve experienced, a normal M340i is no where as loud as the Supra. However, with the Performance Exhaust Package i noticed how loud it is but not just as loud as the Supras exhaust, i don’t know what’s up with that i have not done my research. I ditched one BMW for another BMW😅. Hope this helps!

I wouldn’t get the Supra because I need the 4 doors having kids and all. Im guessing the sound difference between the two may have to do with the length of the pipes. The Supra being so much shorter in length than the BMW probably affects the sound output. Thank you again!

That Supra gets off the line pretty well for a rwd car with as much torque that it has and how quickly it gets into its power compared to your average turbo car with that displacement and power.

Your color grading is a bit weird here. Also most of the video text says E63, instead of C63. Great video, though! The Supra is hella impressive for what it is. And they really wake up with a tune and downpipes!

@@SideViewmusic I don't want to get into big argument about this but why does this community insist on making claims like this. There is no chance that a stock stinger is faster than a GR supra. Nor should it be. Let the stinger be fast for what it is, an enormous sports sedan, there's no need to make silly claims like this. And before you call me a butthurt fan boy, I am a proud owner of a stinger.

Maybe if the C63S was supercharged instead of bi-turbo, it would be a bit quicker from a standing start - the older 55's, V8 Kompressors, were less bhp (479) but similar torque (515ft lbs)

Don't sleep on that Supra. MB is no joke but seems everything else was done with aplomb on that Supra. Amazing how it consistently spanked that V8 AMG.

It is ok just for comparison but for real test should be amg GT black series with m8 I never see that yet .

That Mercedes engine in a smaller, lighter car would be amazing

Please do this one again but with a 2019+ c63s. They upgraded them to a 9 speed. I believe the outcome will be different.

What I learned from this video the only thing you got was the tail lights of the Supra.
