    @What Car? Mazda CX-5 Turbo...Well you did ask! Honestly, I wish Suzuki had not stopped selling vehicles in the US. I imagine it had something to do with their relationship with GM. I wouldn’t mind a new Jimny as a second car though. Not a bit.

    This facelift Suzuki Vitara is indeed the best looking small SUV, IMO. Hence, I bought one last month, same trim same engine as in the video, in black. Because it's a true masculine small SUV, it is smart, not just a formless stupid urban crossover. Plus, it's reliable, the price is ok, no rip-off.

    @@nortonchow3286 mostly sound deadening really. With hard plastic, especially under the windscreen, soundwaves just bounce back and forth between surfaces. With soft material, it absorbs the sound so the cabin has less road noise and the sound system sounds way better as well. All with no extra weight. I'm actually considering swapping out the hard plastic dashboard on my 2017 Vitara with the new soft-touch one, fitting seems to be identical.

Most people who leave nasty comments on KZread are probably angry and bitter, jealous individuals. Makes them feel like they have achieved something in their sad little world by trying to get a reaction. In reality the clever folk amongst us will simply ignore it. Its a shame KZread allow any comments at all. It would make it a far more pleasant experience.

    Absolutely the best small SUV! I must admit I'm a bit biased since I own one of these beauties, older model from the 2017., and I'm very happy with this car in every possible way - great engine, beautiful design, spacious interior, generous equipment, relatively low fuel consumption... And the new Vitara is even better version of the already amazing car, equipped with so much of it in beautiful and very affordable package!

  • @fapmashina1

    @fapmashina1

    @Hank Marving I have old (2017.) model 1.6 litre petrol, 4 cylinders engine that delivers max. power of 120 Hp, torque of 156 Nm. Although it's not as agile as 1.4 l petrol engine, esp. new Vitara Boosterjet 4 cylinder petrol engines, it's very reliable and great performer that has been proven over several years in various situations, including driving to long distances! All of that with ease and great enjoy! Only slight cons. is that old Vitara with 1.6 L engine comes with five gear manual shifter whereas all new Vitaras have improved - 6 gear manual, something that some drivers prefer more. But that's not the issue with automatic shifter.

  • @fapmashina1

    @fapmashina1

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Hank Marving Why do you think Boosterjets are gonna be problematic in any way? They've been around for quite some time, when it comes to Vitara already for several years. Concerning your worries, my experience is that Vitara is extremely fair deal and it has proved to be very, very reliable for past four years that I'm driving it, although I have to admit I don't drive to work daily since I'm lucky enough to work in a short walking distance. But, I drive very often in city and at highway including several hundred kilometers long trips. Bare in mind that Suzuki is Japanese brand and all cars coming from there usually are extremely reliable and very often fare much better at car reliability lists than many western cars! Also, I know several Vitara owners that are also extremely happy with their cars! About fuel consumption, sorry but being from continental Europe I can only give you numbers in L/100 km that is in my case somewhere between 7-8 L/100 km. I hope this would be useful.

  • @fapmashina1

    @fapmashina1

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Hank Marving Here you go! I've converted L/100 km to MPG! My usual consumption ranges between 29,4 to 33.6 mpg. So far, it has never exceeded this higher number, consumption typically achieved during the winter season with winter tires...

  • @fapmashina1

    @fapmashina1

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Hank Marving I don't know if that conversion is right or wrong but it is result of internet converter calculation when you put your real world results in it. Maybe you're talking about average scores presented by the company, something that's not necessarily the same thing as everyday scores. I suggest you to try it yourself with my real time figures of 7-8 liters per 100 km, figure that is showing in my car. At times I even have somewhere arround 6.5 - 6.9 L but it's usually about 7. I don't have 4 x 4 car, only usual front wheels drivetrain. I simply don't need that more robust option since I don't drive on harder terrains except while visiting my countryside recreational house at mildly hilly, not too much demanding partially unpaved off-road terrain but my Vitara serves me well even there without 4 x 4 configuration! If you need real off-road solution from Suzuki then Jimny is full breed terrain specialized car but with tradeoffs: it's smaller, less comfortable and with considerably smaller luggage space than Vitara. Also, at Euro NCAP security test Jimny scored somewhat lower results. Best of luck in your search for your ideal new car! Ps. This consumption difference might as well be result of the fact that 4 x 4 version Vitara is more petrol hungry than front wheels option.

    Every single review I've seen for this car, the reviewer complains about the touch screen system, we get it, it's dated, but it's easy enough to replace and at least it has Apple Car Play and Android Auto. It took Toyota years longer than everyone else and only then reluctantly to introduce these two into their systems. Not to mention complaining about the screen having no physical buttons and dials is stupid, when all of those controls are on the steering wheel, you shouldn't be fiddling with buttons and dials on a screen when driving anyway.

    How can one compare a Vitara AllGrip having all-wheel drive to a Seat Arona and Renault Captur only available with front-wheel drive? The SEAT Arona is an Ibiza, the Renault Captur a Clio, just high-leg adaptations to mimic SUV character. Same goes for Ford's crossover version of the Fiesta - the EcoSport. The Vitara is a stand-alone development and has nothing in common with a Swift. And every generation of this model has been capable to go off road. The bottom line is simple. Urban hipsters buy a real city crossover like the Arona or Captur to follow the marketing strategies of the mainstream. Pragmatic people looking for a versatile car buy the Vitara or another true compact SUV.

This is amazing car in so many ways - from spacious interior, great design, efficient engine with lower fuel consumption, very generous equipment, affordable prices... And also it is very important to know that Suzuki produces one of the world's most reliable cars with very low percentage of failures...
