The fourth generation Skoda Octavia has now arrived in India shortly after its global debut. The vehicle is bigger in size and comes powered by a 2.0-litre TSI engine delivering 190 PS and 320 Nm, mated to a new 7-speed DSG. The new Skoda Octavia gets some more features over the outgoing model but in the dying D-segment, the Octavia doesn't have any rival apart from the Hyundai Elantra and then some of the entry-level Germans.

My personal favourite is the Laura 1.8 TSI MT for its raw feel followed by the newer Octavia RS 245

I've got the 2019 Octavia, but after watching this model, I don't really feel sad that I'm gonna miss out on it

I too own a 2019 1.8 tsi, and looking @ this new Generation, I feel we own a better product overall spl considering the price. Expected to be launched @ 30-34 lac on rd.

Fun (or not so fun) fact: this Octavia is based on the new Mk8 Volkswagen Golf. :)
At this price, not sure how many cars will Skoda sell in a dead segment. For the equipment level this car offers, it shouldn't be anymore expensive then the last gen model.

Size. A few features as well. The Superb is around 200 mm longer. This makes the Superb reach a Mercedes Benz A Class tier and the Octavia a Jeep Compass tier in terms of pricing.

DQ250 is a wet clutch 6-speed gearbox that was available on the diesel Octavia and Laura.

2022 comes in DQ381.

Yes, it misses out on a sunroof
Does it have wireless CarPlay?
0-100 took 8.07 secs not 8.43 secs as mentioned in the video
There is no fun without TDI

SOMEONE HAS TO SAY IT..SO HERE IT IS It is absolutely not worth it. Even Skoda coming back with India plan 2.0, it overlooked the fact that Indians are more keen about the features on offer as we are more feature oriented customers. Not offering driving modes, NO SUNROOF, impractical ac switches (have to go two-three steps via infotainment touch screen to increase/decrease the fan speed), NO VENTILATED SEATS at Rs. 32 Lakhs car even when their own Skoda Kushaq will be providing which is around Rs. 20 Lakhs (the most important feature in a car currently needed in a car). Hope someday Skoda will understand the Indian market better in India Plan 3.0 P.S- I wonder how we will use voice assistance when with parents?!

It is 9 lakhs rupees costlier than it's competitor Hyundai Elantra and it doesn't even offer ventilated seats. Only fanboys will buy it here and they are very very less in India.
