    Thank you for the rundown. my dealer didn’t deliver the truck properly because they didn’t get it ready for a week they had it, salesman got upset threw me the keys and said I am done. I was a little disappointed and regretted buying from them. Your video actually showed me an intro on how things worked on the truck, thank you for the great video.

    I’ve had my 2021 3500 High Country for three weeks now. Love it. I’m finding lots of hidden features on the key fob my dealer didn’t know about. When you put your directional on in trailer mode, a camera automatically views down the side of trailer you are turning into. Found that out today lol

    @@WesternGMDrumheller I’ve had the truck for 3 months now and I’m very happy with it… never considered other brands. Owned a 2003 Duramax and was happy with it except for the fuel injector issues on the early models. Fords are too boxy looking…like a cardboard box going down the Highway. Don’t care for the looks of dodge either. I like the Chevy front end, the grill and the hood. The step bumper and bedside step. The multiplex tailgate, and the motor is quieter than dodge or Ford. I know diesels are noisy in general but I’m over it…Cummings and ford are just obnoxious in the noise they make….

    Why not comment on the things that matter? For instance, the L5P uses a Denso HP4 pump, rather than the CP4 (which grenades; and is used by Ford and Ram STILL). The L5P also performs regen with a 9th injector down stream of the turbo charger (eliminates cylinder washing, excessive EGT’s in the cylinder... etc). Thats why folks should buy an L5P. The bs jargon about the ring gear made me spit out my coffee, where did you pull that nonsense out of??!

    Since you know alot about the l5p, should i keep my 2020 l5p stock or delete it? I know my 2008 lmm started running like shit and regened every time i drove past 20 miles it would start regening and setting its self into limp mode, i dont want to deal with the same stuff on this new one.

    @@probmxjona I would delete and leave stock tuning at some point. Although waiting until a warranty has expired before deleting might be worth it. The way the L5P regens (downstream) it’s not detrimental to the engine/pistons as in your LMM when it regens in the cylinder.

    In Canada auto manufactures offer something called a "BLOCK HEATER" or "PAN HEATER" they have a cord that plugs into what I showed you in the video. Then that plugs into a normal 3 prong 110v outlet from your home. When the temp is -15° C or lower it draws energy to keep your engine block warm or the oil pan warm as cold-start wear is bad for ICE engines. The added heat makes the oil flow easier because as it gets colder outside your oil’s viscosity increases (it thickens) its harder for thicker oil to move and lubricate, makes sense right!? So, in Canada MOST vehicle have a block heater and when the temp outside dips below -15° C it automatically turns on if plugged in.

    Pretty sure the tailgate is also power up, you can see the arrow on the button goes up and down. I have a 2022 High Country 3500HD SRW LB, and the small feature with the truck remembering the tow haul mode is a plus. One complaint, I have read that on the short box, the Factory Puck system place the gooseneck ball behind the rear axle, and even if installing an aftermarket gooseneck hitch such as the B&W there is a crossmember under the bed where the center ball to be located. With the long box there is no issue, I would not consider a short box. In the States, it is only $200.00 more for the LB. They did change the Puck System footprint size starting in 2000, I guess that is when they moved the center of the fifth wheel and gooseneck back on the short box trucks even though there is only I think 14 inches difference between the two truck beds now. This was a really good review, you covered a lot of the little details that most never mention at all.

  • @WesternGMDrumheller

    @WesternGMDrumheller

    2 жыл бұрын

    Bro ring gear size does affect torque to your wheels we were told this by a GM engineer so if your asking how does gear size affect torque here is the answer? Torque is the measure of twisting force, calculated as the product of circumferential force multiplied by the radius of the gear. This means that BIGGER GEARS will have MORE TORQUE than smaller gears because of the larger radii of the gears.
