i did not know yall had our north american trucks over there i thought yall only had your smaller utes... cool to see a ram over there on the dirt, believe it or not thats still a fairly small truck for north american standards, theres 3500, 4500, 5500, 6500, etc etc.... but 2500 is most common over here as your sort of entry level heavy duty diesel.

That’s because the Laramie is not designed for off-roading, it’s designed to be a luxury hauler. The Ram 2500 Power Wagon is the off-roader, has a low range transfer case, locking front and rear diffs and a higher clearance. Let’s hope we get this model in Australia.

if you hang 4 and a 1/2 tonne off the arse, what payload do you have left? why don't reviewers talk about real world GVM and GCM of the vehicles they review? because once examined the vehicles sold in Australia are shit with respect to GVM and GCM. which is why lift kits, vehicle upgrades, air bags etc are so popular. thing is the chassis and diffs are still the same OEM. oh and the trucks, like the 2500 are tow vehicles, maybe towing a van to some secluded beach and NOT real off roaders. but neither is a new patrol of Cruiser now, without spending money upgrading them.
