I have to say i love that you do a mix of driving. Sometimes you rev it out and sometimes you just do chilled driving, shifting early. In so many videos they just shift at redline, also with automatic gearboxes. That really just shows half of it. Its much better what you are doing.
I have seen lots of 718 car reviews. Yours has been the best.

Same here. I feel like I watched every 718 cayman vid and I'm always getting suprised when I see a new one. This was definitely the best review!
Its crazy how well this cars power translates with the sound. My ears are in heaven right now. I could watch a 24 hours video of you in this thing, and Id watch every second.
I owned Ferrari 458, Maserati GT, Ferrari F12, drove alot of cars like Aventador R8 GT3 992........... The best car I owned so far without a doubt is 981 Cayman GTS, I remember I parked my 458 somewhere far from home to have better care while daily GTS, when I go pick it up, I always wonder do I really need more than GTS? Every time I step on GTS I get to feel sort of happiness from it, the seating, the engine, the gearbox, just gave sort of perfection.. On track its not fastest but damn I used to do 8 laps in a row in 5km track at 38C outside, I swear GT350 and GT500 mustangs, also Coevettes struggling for 2 laps, Viper ACR couldn't do even 2 laps without cooling. After nearly 7 years with 981 GTS I sold it to buy GT3 but tbh I now leaning toward buying yet again 718 GTS 4.0! I wanna daily the car and I dont think theres more perfect daily sports car

@Digi20
2 жыл бұрын
@@davidscherm6274 yes, the long gearing of nowadays cars is pretty much always to comply with noise and emission regulations.
This and the GT3 manual are the best production cars from Porsche right now. A cut price alternate to the GTS 4.0 is the 987 S. 80% of the experience for 30% the cost.
The gearing is still long, but thanks for showing that its still good for everyday driving. Most of the people who will buy this will not redline it everytime, and will not use it in tracks.

Thank you very much for sharing your work with us, cheer up! 🥰🥰🥰
The color and trim (blacked out) and black wheels is a very good combination here. Car looks great.
The manual is the best part and the trunks hold a lot of luggage ( a hard case checked bag, a 30 L back pack) or a lot of Sam’s club groceries. There’s a low profile cooler that fits nicely in the rear trunk for those takeouts.
Epic review topher!!! The 4.0 is thrilling over 5000 rpm but what’s your take on it under. I’ve got a cayman T delivered three months ago my first porsche and am disappointed from the sound no drama then drove a friend’s gts 4.0 and my concern is it’s pretty quiet under 4000 rpm what are your thoughts?
This is the best sounding 6 cylinder ive ever heard. better than a 296gtb or artura or quadrifoglio. the 911 comes really close but this sounds almost alien
Wow is the road noise bad on this car or what! I own a 2014 base Cayman and I can tell you it’s much quieter. Way to loud for any kind of long distance traveling compared with my Cayman. Spent 14 hours driving back from the solar eclipse of 2017 in Oregon and was comfortable with minimal road noise and compliant suspension. What a car!!
I came here for the shifts and engine sound. I'm happy.
Besides the Bose and the GTS interior trim option what other options did it have? Base GTS is $90k.
