Who would have thought this game 28 months later would be the national championship and both teams would be in the same conference in 2024.

Crazy to think back that just a little over two years ago Michigan was unranked. They’ve gone 40-3 since then and 29-1 against conference opponents. Also funny that their current stretch of dominance pretty much started with this 21-point victory over Washington and two seasons later they won the Natty with a 21-point victory over Washington. In both games they had over 300 rushing yards and under 150 passing yards, too. Going back even further, the final game of the season they won their last Natty (1997) was a win over Washington State. Washington’s last Natty was in 1991, and their last game of that season was against Michigan. Apparently Michigan and the state of Washington are inextricably intertwined.

obviously it was maize out, but i think what really made it loud was it being a night game 1. the students are generally not running off of much sleep at noon on a saturday, especially those who start drinking at 7am 2. night games are typically against better teams 3. less quiet old people in the crowd (maybe?) lol still need to solve the problem of quiet students

This is the team that we thought had brought us to the mountaintop. They are the ones who beat OSU for the first time in over a decade. What great players! Now, they are seen as the foundation.

Folks, we did it! Two years later and we're national champs! I cant believe it. I really didnt know if id ever see it! Im so happy and even happier to be a fan of this group. Proud of this team.

At this point in the year, its crazy to think we went from unranked to #2 in the CFP playoff poll. What a great season so far, with more to do!

To me at least it feels like a totally different team before and after Penn State. You can see the beginnings of the team we know now here, but I think it took the stolen little brother game to bring the fire from this team

Hello from the future. Michael Penix Jr. (that kid from Indiana who keeps getting injured) is going to lead this Washington team to an undefeated season and the college football playoff final. They’ll face this Michigan team, who will also be undefeated. #1 vs. #2 in the country, and Michigan will win. Oh and also Michigan beat Bama to get there, beat OSU 3x straight, caused Nick Saban to retire, the UW coach will take his place, and Good Shit Jedd will be the next coach of U Dub. Also also, next year these teams will play each other in Seattle in a B1G Conference game. All of this is true.

@@jonconstant3914 Isn't that f'ing insane? First and foremost, what a 3 year run with Cade/JJ and then JJ. Also, you can definitely tell they upgraded defensive coordinators in this run. Finally, there's this year. What a run. With all the crap and distractions to the final game. Incredible. Thank you Harbaugh. Here's to the Moore era!

This is the type of atmosphere/tenacity they need to bring against Ohio.

The Blue pants are awesome. Growing up in the 90s I always wanted them to do this. Glad they're doing it at least this game.

This was a great game to watch. I watched it with my grandfather... the person I owe my michigam Fandom to.. After the game ended we spent about am hour talking about michigan and if they'd be any good last season...we both said if our offense can just hit a few more big plays, MAYBE this could be the year we take down ohio state... it was a really nice conversation we had... ill never forget it in my life... because 3 hours later. My grandfather died... inwish he could've seem how this season had turned out

I love Hassan’s passion for his game. Every time he’s stopped short of a 1st down or TD when he knows that he could’ve done a lot more had he just broken 1 more tackle, he shows his frustration at himself before he gets back up. I’m gonna miss this guy when he goes to the NFL

I wonder what #21 on Washington's punishment was for basically ending any chance Washington had of winning. You make the great stop to force 4th down then do that. There aren't enough stairs in the stadium for him to have to run...

McNamara needs to get those swing passes down. I know they are just kids but at this level he shouldn’t be throwing behind the receiver. You gotta throw it so he can catch it on the run with forward momentum.

Sean McDonnah (or however you spell it) always seems to love to root against Michigan. It's like he takes personal pleasure in them losing or doing something wrong.

Great game. Defense and special teams were on point. I know our running game was clicking, and Washington has some great corners, but we're going to need to throw more than 21% of the time eventually 😂

I've always loved the Huskies uniforms. Even as a kid, watching them beat Desmond's team and then watching Wheatley run wild on them I enjoyed their colors. I hate when they add black to their uniforms randomly.

@@Wayne-tk5mx He's getting better. It takes a year+ to get back to full with that kind of injury. I think he'll be a solid back in the NFL. Maybe not a HOF level but a decent amount of carries and yards

I think I see now why many of our receivers transferred out. We may as well be Georgia tech with the flex bone. Receivers are basically just split end blockers. Who wants to play at Michigan when you’re going to spend most of your time blocking when you can go to OSU and get 5-10 catches per game. Hopefully this changes. I know people talk crap but this is still Michigan. Put some trust in your QB, whether it’s McNamara or McCarthy, and tell let him to let loose. Then again maybe this reserved run attack is why we won… maybe I should shut up.

we won 31-10... and why the quotes around "just felt like running it"? who said that ever? we ran it because it worked and Washington has a good secondary that made it hard to pass. Again, we won by 21 points in a game where we were only favored by 6.5. find a new team to root for please im so tired of you people.
