The engine fits also perfectly in the CLA. I had a CLA 180 Shooting Brake (X117 and X118) and they are also fine with the engine for the daily drive. 👍🏼

Good looking car actually but for this car I think that the 200 with awd is better because it’s faster and it has better handling for me…still looks better than the Audi A3 and bmw 1 series …anyway have a nice day cya ✌️🙂

I don't understand AMG, M, S packages on cars with basic engines. It looks sporty, but performance is missing totally. It's like people who were putting in the past stickers with "Turbo Sport" and similar shit on old Renault 12 which had 54 HP and was shitty to drive.

It makes fun. One of my friends has a 2016 A200d with 136 Diesel Automatic and AMG Edition 1 pakage. This car is way more enjoyable to drive than my 2016 Audi A4 TDI 150 Manual, nicely equipped, but without S Line Pakage. But yeah I do understand your idea.

What spec is this car? AMG line, premium or premium plus

@@J10Wilshere this comment was before I got my car: CLA 180 AMG line premium. That's also got ambient lighting. Mercedes has replaced AMG line AMG AMG line premium plus with AMG line executive and AMG line premium+ night edition. All trims now come with ambient lighting as standard

Its brand new car, It has low mileage, about 1000 km, after 2000 km it should dropped around 5-10 % less

These cars aren't as aerodynamic in reality as Mercedes claims on paper. The drag coefficient is measured on cars without any optional extras, which can make a big difference. Things like the AMG exterior and those big wheels make them way less aerodynamic compared to the base model. But of course they are still way better than SUVs, so the bad fuel consumption also has to do with the engine.

@@lennartl.445 u wrong the aerydynamic is up to 18 inch rims with ANY lines progress amg and stuff (cw 0,22). Just with 19 inch rims this vlaue drops to (cw 0,23 )

@@aimbuster1 Even if the 19 inch wheels raised the drag coefficient by just 0,01, the basic CLA 180 has 0,24 cw, so with 19 inch wheels it has (at least) 0,25 cw. But I still think in reality it's even higher.

7.4L consumption at 140km/h is not impressive at all. Especially not with this being such an aerodynamic car, a Golf 1.5 eTSI can do 6.7L at the same speed, and that's a hatchback with usable rear seats.

Yes well Mercedes worked on it but the 1.3 petrol and 1.5 and 2.0 diesels are mostly designed by Renault and then Mercedes increases the power or decrease modifying the ecu probably

The 1.3 petrol engine in this is used in Renaults, Nissans and even Dacias, but the lead development team was Mercedes and the engine is built in a Mercedes factory in Germany, so it is more a case of the other way around. Not that it would really matter anyway, I don't see why people get so upset that an engine from a supposed "inferior manufacturer" gets used elsewhere. BMW used Peugeot engines for a while (again, joint development) but nobody complained then.

@@CheesemanGT well I had a mini when bmw was making them and the engines from Peugeot…I had a cooper D with the automatic and the 2.0 D was from Peugeot and it was constantly broken…once the AC broke then the radio speaker was blown (and I don’t hear much music in my car) then the car had an engine failure which means that I had to change mini…then I’ve got the countryman SD ALL4 (first gen) and the gearbox broke after 40.000km… Ok said this I’m not saying that all is junk…it’s just that also a merc with a 2.0 D with 265/245 just because they want to save money so they don’t have to put the 3.0 D it’s making Mercedes like a brand that wants to save too much money…anyway have a nice day 🙂

You don't buy a CLA to circle the Earth and especially with this engine. You still can cover 400 km at 180 kmh which is 30 kmh close to its maximum speed.

@@Mr11ESSE111 Most of the normal people are doing 50-100 km per day and few times a year longer trips. So, 800-1000 km on national road speed and 400-600 km at very high speed (legal only in Germany) is more than enough. And since you compare it to Golf it's ok, because CLA is a compact car.

This is not mercedes its Renault 🤢🤢👎
