People forget the main reason why the D Max is popular despite its unrefined nature: unchallenged reliability, cheaper spare parts and great fuel economy. It is so much cheaper to maintain compared to the rest of the pickups in the market and the fuel economy is just sheer madness. Now that it is also a looker, great tech and have class leading cabin finishing, it is a serious contender for the best pick up in Msia right now.

Lazy this lazy that haiyaaa....aku pakai dmax 5 tahun. Jimat nak mampus tak payah cerita lah. Servis murah. Tak pernah ada problem. Angkat moto rileks jer. Masuk interior takde masalah. Kau bukan nak pecut pun kalau kau bawak masuk dlm hutan.

This pickup has received good reviews in many countries and probably voted number 1 for 2021. However in peninsular Malaysia, would i pay rm 2000 plus for yearly roadtax for 3000cc engine? Probably NOT

Why would they short-change with inferior handling, nvh, etc vs. Australian version. Disappointing.

I've tested this truck but I find that it's vibration when I'm idle with A/C is quite annoying, a very noticeable shiver every 10-20 seconds. Can I know if this is a D'Max only problem or if it's in all trucks?
