In Feb. 2021, I purchased the HR-V EX AWD. The utility of the interior is great! My friends could not believe it when I drove up in this little car, opened the tailgate, and pulled out an 8-foot step ladder. Passing on a 2-lane highway can get exciting, due to the underpowered 1.8 four-cylinder through it's CVT and AWD, but mpg's are about 25 in the city and 30 on the highway. After one year, I'm willing to trade the AWD and sunroof for a power driver's seat with memory and a better stereo. For 2022, the Insurance Highway Safety Institute made their side-impact vehicle heavier and faster, and the HR-V performed the poorest crash score in its class. But all things considered, I wouldn't trade this HR-V for any of its same-priced competition. I look forward to many years of reliable transportation with better than average resale value, and pray I never get T-boned!

Great job Chris. We have a 2018 HR-V. Did they fix the door lock features? When I touch the driver side door handle with the key fob in my pocket, is there a setting to open ALL the doors? The 2018 HR-V doesn't have that option.

So, I test drove a 2019 model once and my head was almost touching the roof even when I adjusted the seat to the lowest setting. I’m only 5’6” could it if possibly just been that model or do you notice the same thing? Thank you I’m advance for any feedback :-)

@@carrieberry90 I'm 6 foot and I had to play with the seating as well but got it to a point where I can be comfortable. I would encourage giving another test drive and play with the seats more. Thank you for watching

I miss my 2017 hrv, it's at the repair shop because someone hit the lift gate when I was at the traffic light red, the person driving behind me hit it ,😭 I know 2017 and 2021 it's not the same but I'm just watching.

The truck release is on the on the manual hatch. You are able to open it when the vehicle is on, just make sure it's unlocked because the auto lock may have locked it for you. Thanks for watching and appreciate the support

$28,500 and no electric seats🤦‍♂️. Those huge painted door sills ought to come with sill guards from the factory. I like the gloss bumper trim, but I know that would get scuffed on my first trip to Lowes.

Cvt transmission 1.8 motor? Needs 2 L or 2.5 L Spare tire a plus No cargo outlets though. No latch seat release. Fold up seat a plus Rear seat pockets a plus. No 110 outlet In dash info center a plus Manual seats- that's a no Small door cubby No wireless play No wireless charging No vented seats No dash cubbies Sunroof could be tilt and lift. No power close on sunroof.

THE USB OUTLET FOR THE CARPLAY IS VERY INADEQUATE MEANING IT WILL NOT CHARGE YOUR PHONE WHILE USING THE CARPLAY USB OUTLET…. 1.5A IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO CHARGE AND USE CARPLAY AT THE SAME TIME !!!! THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL !!!!

Do you have multiple apps open while using apple carplay? I have also noticed that many phones charged at different rates and the charging cords can play a role as well. Thank you for watching

I got a private pilot's license back in the 1970s. Looking at this car dash, I think I had to learn less to fly a plane. I don't view this positively.
