That’s why they stop building sedans to use up that waste money on trucks and SUV interiors best decisions GM and Ford had made. Even ford has improved interior style not to fan of it but they’re better things to come I hope in next two or three years GM bring up update on 5.3 and 6.2

Also, the comment about the 6.2 being longer is BS, both blocks are the same length. The 6.2 is essentially a bored out 5.3. Exterior dimensions are the same for both engines.

When my Equinox was in the dealership for repair work, they gave me a 2020 Acadia to drive...absolutely beautiful. 2 months later it was back for more work and it stayed for 3 weeks and they gave me another 2020 Acadia to drive but it was the AT4 edition. Still beautiful, the AT4 stitching on the seats was really nice. Only thing I didn’t like was the AT4 had a 2 color seat combination which didn’t impress me, the standard Acadia had only 1 color on the seats.

This channel is great! Watch all the time! Let Nathan know, the value cover being bigger on the 6.2l is completely inaccurate. The internals of the engine are different. 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 6.2. Same dimensionally. Awesome channel you guys! Great job!

My dad drove his 2011 Yukon XL Denali AWD brand new off the lot for around $50k... it had upgraded wheels, captains chairs, second and third row DVD screens, fully loaded. The pricing on these things has gotten insane. But people buy them, so apparently some people (not me) have money. I guess I'll stick with my used Traverse.

bigvirgotube the first gen Lambdas had issues that led to poor oiling of the timing chains and wave plate issues in the transmission. The refreshed first gens after 2013 are much more reliable. Check out the forums to get a better idea.

Easy question, the denali has the 6.2L just as my yukon denali does! 420hp and 460tqe plus you'd be amazed how much untapped power can be freed just by letting them breathe with a K&N air intake, MBRP exhaust and the add a superchips flashpaq F5 to bring in a little extra fuel and it makes worlds of difference! My denali also has a 3in lift and 35in mastercraft courser mxt tires so I think I'd overtake that at4

I like the interior of the Danali for the most part. However give it a lever shifter. Preferably on the column. Then trade tire/wheels with the AT4. The AT4 seems abit more gadgety than I like. It seems like alot of manufacturers don't know the difference between a nice convenience and more overly complicated junk that's probably going to fail by the time its piad off or not long after.

Denali has a 6.2 standard, you can't even get it with the 5.3. No need to play a game

No worries, if were still arpund in 35 it will be all elect4ic. Amd much more affordable. Perhaps petro fuel will be strictly sport.

The do not spray is the dirty side inlet for the airbox... it does not catch and move water in there.

I'd take those 20" tires over the 22" tires every time, never understood why they'd have such a narrow wheel on such a large vehicle.

Arm and a leg actually

The "don't spray" area is the air intake on the SUV's just like it is on the trucks. That's the reason for not spraying water into that area, it goes right to the airbox.

I wish you guys could put these review vehicles on a lift. It would be awesome to see what all the different manufacturers are doing.

At 19:55 the GMC Acadia actually got smaller from the previous generation. It's the Chevy Traverse that got bigger

One long continuous camera shot...that was impressive.

Wonder how long the clutch packs last on those limited slip differentials.

I owned a 2017 Yukon Denali for all of six months. Had it in the shop 8 times in that time frame, for some major issues. (Failed magnetic shocks, leaky head liner, interior and exterior moldings popping off, A/C condenser....etc....etc...) I finally got fed up with it...as much as I loved it, I couldn't overlook the quality issues in this "premium" vehicle-and I traded it in on a Ford F-150 Platinum. As much as I like these new GMC's...I'd be gun shy to consider buying another. (or any GM product for that matter, right now). Amazing how one bad owner experience can turn a life long GM guy into one of their biggest skeptics.

All brands sadly turn out bad apples, here and there. My dad's neighbor had a 2018 Toyota Tacoma and had nothing but electrical problems that the dealership couldn't fix. He ended up getting a 2018 GMC crew cab 4X4 with the 6.2 V8. He loves the GMC truck.

@J Medrano That 6.2 is a beast of a motor. It has such a broad power band. I had that in the Denali, and think it's the ONLY motor they should put in the Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade family. I had the 5.3 in both a Tahoe and Avalanche...they felt underpowered below 4000 rpm. Never felt that in the Denali. On another note- I've had pretty good luck with the Platinum, thus far. I've only had problems with the heating element in the driver's seat-(replaced under warranty).

@@MrRGiller Yeah...I think my Denali was assembled at 4:59 on a Friday afternoon! LOL As much as I loved it, I couldn't overlook all the issues I had with it. Some were issues that you shouldn't have on a $20,000 vehicle, let alone an $80,000. Up that point, I was a GM guy my whole life-now I'd have great reservation about giving GM another dime. Except maybe for a C8 Corvette! I may be able to overlook some quality issues for that vehicle. LOL

I get 16 mpg in my 2002 tahoe 5.3 with 240k and counting ....

Yall should make a comparison with the new Tahoe and Yukon as well with the design differences

My 07 Denali with the 6.2 still is going strong. Have a 6 in lift and maintained the air ride suspension. Sitting on 35" nitto trail grapplers and it takes my family on logging roads in the Cascades up here in the northwest for camping trips. Interior still looks perfect as i routinely maintain the leather and other materials. Just saying it's an 07, still looks good and still holding up at about 180k miles now. Also plan on towing some rock crawlers on a flatbed to trails soon i hope.

180k is nothing if you’re taking care of it that well. I have a 92 Silverado with 340k miles that wasn’t overly well cared for when I got it at 290k. Yours will go forever with that care if AFM doesn’t kill it

@@HithereJimHerald That's great to hear! I had to swap out my torque converter and went with a performance billet TC and installed a new melling high volume oil pump. I also don't have AFM in this motor, so I'm good to go then!

But he did say it does burn oil a bit and just to make sure I do an oil change every 3k miles. I wonder if that’s the AFM causing that? It has 164k miles. Thanks in advance

I HATE when it looks like the screen was an after thought it looks like they just stuck on a tablet and said good enough I love the Denali setup everything just flows really well and looks like they took some time and thought into the design

if it's clutches on each side of diff, then it's like vectoring, probably better to have good awd control, since it's mostly for road

0:28 Denali ultimate should have the 6.2 if it has everything. Cause I’d rather have that engine over the 5.3

what about the gear's oil cooler did they upgrade it or it the same because i have a2008 sierra and when i go to the sand in middle east it reach 212F (100C)

I am trying too buy a gmc denali sierra 2020 do you know if theres going too be some changes for 2021?

While I appreciate the power that Ford has squeezed out of their smaller engines, I prefer to have the V-8 loping along. I just hope that GM has solved their issues with the cylinder deactivation. I might consider deactivating it to get better long-term reliability, even if it sacrifices some mileage. The 5.3 has enough power for my needs, and that AT-4 is better suited for work and play than the Denali - though I'm beginning to like that Denali interior.

Love the AT4 version 😍

If GMC comes up with a Terrain AT4, I'll definitely buy it.

That gear shifter setup will take some time to get used to...wonder why they didn't just use the one in the 2021 Escalade. That would have worked for this as well.

Without even playing your game i can tell you the denali has the 6.2 because in the intro you mentioned that its a denali ultimate which is a package that includes the bigger motor🙂🙂

The easy giveaway for the 6.2 powered Yukon/Yukon XL and the Tahoe & Suburban regardless of model is the quad tip rear exit exhaust.

They need to throw that interior into the heavy duty pickup trucks! 👍🏼

Thanks for the video...appreciate your insight. But, after watching your video, I am left with more "questions" and am def not excited about either of them. GM continues to shovel out products to the public using some kind of wacky logic...and of course overcharging. The 6.2L should be standard on all Yukons with a 6.2L turbo or supercharger as an option.

Dude, they do have CAFE standards that need to be met. Hence why they stuff the 5.3 in everything they can.

0:40 seconds in and I can tell u right now based on being a Denali owner for the past 20 years ..the Yukon Denali has the 6.2...

the denali yukon has the nicer dash with the radio in it and u get a nice grille and a nice 6.2 liter that will last longer then those 5.3s the at4 u wont be able to put a aftermarket radio in it if the radio is on top of the dash

Pretty sure that the two engines are the same size physically. That’s what’s cool about gm’s engines you can interchange parts like the heads on the 5.3 will go on the 6.2 block the crank is probably the same too the difference would be bored size of the pistons. 5.3 Bore and stroke 3.78 x 3.622 6.2 bore and stroke 4.065 x 3.622 so the crank and rods are the same just bigger pistons

The one that annoys me would be that shark fin antenna by the front right windshield why dont place it in the middle...

The AT4 is just a X31 offroad package. The AT4 or Denali or SLT is the trim package.

5.3..and 6.2..available on both models
