2021 Gibson ES-335 vs 2021 Epiphone Lucille

The Gibson ES-335 is a nice guitar, but how does it stack up to the Epiphone Lucille? The Gibson can be had for about $2800 at time of recording. That will get you an American made ES-335 Studio model with a hardshell case that has about the same appointments at this modified model that we got from the Gibson Demo Shop. The Epiphone Lucille will cost you about $949 plus shipping at the time of recording, is made in China and comes with the Epiphone Epilite case (read that as "sturdy gig bag). Is the 335 really almost 3 times as good as the Epiphone? Does the Varitone switch give the Epiphone the edge? Check out the video and see which you think is the better guitar. Let us know in the comments which one you would choose. Enjoy!

So, I just looked on Reverb (as well as a couple other places), and the price to get a good condition Harmony Montclair has gone up substantially! They are now selling for about $700-1000 for an example in this condition and age. Which is VERY surprising to me, because, just a couple of years ago, these guitars could be had for about $350-550, with a $500+ model being in almost pristine condition. Considering these guitars probably sold for about $100 or less new, in the 1950s-1960s, and have no identifying serial numbers, that's a pretty incredible price jump. Just thought I would post up about how much the value of the Harmony has gone up. Still love that old guitar and the sounds it makes.

Cool Harmony guitar! That one is the real star of the show. I wouldn't mind having all three of those though 😉

It's crazy that the Harmony has been in my family for so long. When I was a small child, I used to sit and "play" that guitar while my Dad played the Dove. Only when I was in my twenties did I come to the realization what it was and took it to a luthier in the Houston area named Kevin Perry. He got the guitar back in line and added the piezo pickup to it. I'm not sure if he's still in business, but if he is, he's one of the best I've ever met and taught me a ton about how to maintain a guitar.

@@guitarsandgears3948 The picture should be small and clear, one guitar (one-third guitar), one face (Rick Beato), Letter - (Sweetwater, Reverb) a picture from the web for example: Gear Tuning, Guitar pick (Gear and Guitar). Very simple drawing (Zero2Hero) Look at what others have done, and copy what you like...

another revision to the pictures has been done. I do think the profile picture needs to be different, so I'll get on making another one for that. But the channel banner picture is up now.
