I noticed the handy ice pick safety tool on around your neck. My son fell through the ice a couple years around, struggled HARD to get out of the water. He went straight out and bought a set. He never goes on the ice without them. Awesome video, awesome fish.

I've been slamming big gills on this little backwoods honey hole I found. Takes some work getting to it but worth it for sure. Waters not very clear though so no go with my camera. Flasher works great though!

You lucky bastards ice fishing already. Probably another month or more til we get hardwater here in Pennsylvania. 90% of my time on the ice is spent chasing deep basin crappie around but I also enjoy changing it up and hitting the shallows for multi species.

Wow there's already a good amount of ice on that lake you're fishing! Down here in the southern part of the state some smaller lakes are starting to freeze but it's going to be too warm this week to be making any ice. Won't be long now!

Decent first ice vid Kyle. Overnight camping in the ice is always a banger vid man. Everyone loves those vids. If ya get the chance.. brake down what you bring to camp, what you use for bate and lures and rod/reel etc.. One thing I wanna know is what table you had set up with you in that vid? And if you like it or not? I’m looking into getting a collapsible table for ice fishing camping..

He's always slaying giant gills and crappies and white bass. Ice fishing is my favorite. Especially 14" plus jumbo perch near la crosse. I'm in Central WI

Awesome beat down on the fish!! I’m not so sure how I even am able to go ice fishing!!! I absolutely hate the cold but after my body has gotten used to the colder weather I guess it’s not to bad!! Lol!! Awesome video buddy!! I’d definitely like to see some crappie catch clean and cook out on the ice this season!!! Also maybe some walleyes or perch catch clean cook videos out on the ice!!! I guess those two would definitely be my first two picks because first I’ve never caught a perch before and really want to but we don’t have many perch in my area!!!

I'm in northern IL, never ice-fished before but I'll be getting my chance in February heading up to the Minocqua area! I really hope my guide has an Aqua-Vu, being able to watch the fish underwater is just amazing, and it makes me want to try and use one during spring when I just jig right under my feet on the dock at my local lake.

@@Wisconsin_Fisherman I'm betting, if you don't trap, a trapper around would let you tag along for a beaver. Also buying a tail is cheaper than a trap. But from start to finish homemade beaver tail bait... No cheating buy buying just the tail. You have to be there on check day to buy it. And no road kill. Price of tails is around$5 fresh. Just don't ask for the whole beaver cuz trapper is going to want the castors.
