So I guess from the instructions which were missing from mine on the left side when you are sitting on the ATV by the CVT Exhaust port I showed on the video where I had trouble with it hitting the new gauge support the correct thing to do is cut a hole in the gauge support to allow the cvt exhaust to exit the new gauge housing similar to the hole that was on the original stock gauge support housing. But only make that hole on the left side when sitting on the bike. If you have questions look it up online or check for another video that shows that part. I apologize for not showing it in this video because I did not know about it at the time I installed mine.

Just curious to why you had to replace the gauge pod? Will the snorkel extension piece not fit over the stock xmr gauge pod?

@@904nole the stock gauge pod has a hole for the stock xmr air intake so you could use it but would have an exposed hole that would show on the side where the intake used to be, cleaner look with new pod.

Welcome! Just remember on the left side of the new gauge cluster housing as you are sitting on the bike to drill a small hole with a hole saw bit for the clutch exhaust to vent better. I didnt know about that when i did the video its the spot on the cover where you see the chaulk at on. It will make sense when you get yours. Nice video we bought a 2020 850 max xt and I bought the brp snorkel for the rare occasion I'm in water for peace of mind but put off installing it because the paper instructions sucked this will help me out alot thank you

I have a Can Am XMR 850 too (2019). I could not agree with you more. We're not driving a boat or a sub. And I too, like to see where I'm going. Can Am will probably come up with a different design in the future but for now, a saved motor is much better than a wet clutch. Nice video. As always "Ride Hard and Be Safe" MN Bill

@@Temptation_Offroad I'm down south of the cities. (Apple Valley) We usually ride Spider Lake, Nemaji, Emily Outing but we've been all over. Right now Spider Lake (Foot Hills State forest) is open. We are planning a trip up to Spider Lake on May 7th / 8th. Where are you guys from?

Do you happen to know what size plastic tubes and connectors we need? I see one online that is 5/16 inside and 7/16 outside. Wonder if that be it?

what is the point in buying the new gauge cluster support? picking up my snorkel kit today. also do you have any ideas for raising the belt box intakes and exhaust?

So you dont have a big hole showing through on the right side I believe. If you want to increase the belt intake and exhaust you will have to go with aftermarket snorkel kit like Warrior snorkels or make your own.

Great Video! What size was the hardware to extend the vent lines? Going to attempt mine this weekend.

I just cut a small piece of hose off and brought it to Napa and they gave me the pieces to connect the hoses together and i asked for 3 feet of hose to match.

I use FXR gear for snowmobiling and also for my winter jacket when its cold out. Great stuff for sure!

Does your handguards hit your snorkel at all, when turned all the way? Handguards on the new Renegade hit the snorkel I've noticed.

@@Temptation_Offroad thanks for the reply. I'm a Honda guy but really want to pull the trigger on this quad. Wasn't a big fan of the Yellow( and I want the front locker) but it's starting to grow on me. These are hard to find in Michigan and Dealers want a fortune.

@@scottmulholland7975 Yeah, i wasn't crazy about the color either from seeing photos of it but once I went to pick it up in person it actually isn't bad at all! These are super hard to find. I looked all over by the Twin Cities in MN and couldn't find one, then by chance I found one over in ND. If they didnt have one the next closest would have been eastern Wisconsin or Michigan. Usually right now dealers are holding to MSRP for price, but they might give a break on accessories.

Nice job on the video. Is this the $100 snorkel kit or was it the higher priced kit? Thanks.

$100 But you will need to buy another gauge support housing like i showed in the video also. They cost about $32.

For me not at all, I was wondering the same thing. Im 6'2" tall though, maybe if a person were a lot shorter it might be in the way more but honestly its not bad at all.

Were did you order your cluster plastics from ?

The dealer ordered everything when i bought the atv. It was a package deal and price for atv, snow plow, hand warmers, snorkel kit, gauge cluster etc.

Thanks for "not" showing how to get the cluster out. It doesn't just pop out.

So stock it’s still snorkeled on the 1000’s right?

New 2023 XMR 1000 is about $15500 and used ones are from $9700 to $14500 depending on year, miles, condition etc.

This does me no good, I need something to extend the cvt port up so it doesn't get flooded all the time.

what part number was that new gauge mount? was it a xtp gauge mount?
