I'd get the avenir, It's stupid gorgeous imo.

Really appreciate the review! My wife and I will be making a purchase on this vehicle tomorrow. I never really saw myself being a "Buick Man", but this car has changed that!

I just bought the 2021 Essence model yesterday black on black with panoramic roof. The interior along with its tech and safety features are off the hook. This car is beautiful and rides so comfortable and quiet. I traded a 2013 Ford Escape Titanium which my wife absolutely loved but didn’t feel the same about the 2020-21 model so we went elsewhere and so glad we did. Plus the Escape cost more with equal equipment. This car is the deal of the year.

GREAT review - I just bought a Satin Steel / Black Avenir with all options, except AWD. It has a much better ride than the 2017 Cadillac CT6 I sold. The infotainment system is MUCH easier to understand for my 68 year-old brain, too. I've only put a few miles on it, but so far, I'm much happier with this car. ( I had an Enclave before the CT6 that I liked too, but I decided this time I didn't need a car that large, since I'm the only one in it. ( that five year-old CT6 had 3,600 miles on it - I don't "go" much !!! ) I just had the driver's and passenger's side windows tinted to match the others ( a little lighter to be "legal", but much better ) I couldn't find one I liked locally, so I called a dealer on a Saturday morning to ask about the one they had just gotten it . . and by 7 PM that evening it was delivered to my home, TWO HUNDRED miles away - for once, a great experience buying a new car ( I've had some BAD ones )

15 years of manual driving and 2 generations with Honda, I finally trade my car in for a Buick Envision Avenir. I'm in my mid 30's with a growing family. I was looking for something safe, reliable and affordable. This checked all thoes boxes, plus its very stylish and comfortable. So far, I'm happy with my Buick.

Probably XT4 in sport trim but this Envision is a real head turner - love the interior too - a sport version will be coming soon no doubt - I like your videos good job

I’ve had mine for a couple of months now and I love it. It steers wonderfully, it has more elbow room inside, it has the button to turn off the start/stop, shifting takes a little time to get used to since it’s now a nine speed. It is very nice looking inside and out, yes a beautiful design. I especially love the infotainment system and the dash facing me as a driver. The mirrored rear view mirror is another “get used to” a little at a time. The camera has wonderful resolution.

Does is have massing seats in the front for driver and passenger and a panoramic roof?

I have a 2022 Envision with the ST package. This is my second Buick and I absolutely love it! My Envision is finished in the Sating Steel Metallic. As you pointed out, that color really accentuates those swoops body lines.

It's a beautiful design. BTW. Dude I love your videos. Great job!

I just picked up this car for the wife. Buick really outdid themselves on this one, the rear view camera was a bit weird getting use to it at first.

I just ordered the 2022 model,best looking suv out there period.I just picked up my car and let me tell you this suv is well built.And it rides great.I traded my 2016 GM Sierra for this,I’m telling you I don’t miss my truck at all.

Drove this car. very impressed. Back seat has less room for a person over 6 foot and long legs. 20% better than the older vision in comfort and design

nice video. I just bought Avenir version last month, it impressive, quiet, powerful 237P +9AT, also the 360 camera veiw

Initially, I’m very impressed with what I see. I’m waiting for the mid-cycle refresh and hope to see the addition of fog lights, power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and mirror fold. Perhaps some tweaks to the suspension. Say good bye to Rich Garnet for 2023 🙁. Thanks for the entertaining review.

It's really beautiful

Did not seek out a Buick review but it somehow came up in my suggested and I loved it. Feels like this car competes pretty well with some of the lexus models that I might consider. Definitely would think about getting this now.

This is a great value. We almost bought this car given Buick had $3500 in incentives. It’s made in China and should have a super reliability rating. However, it was just a bit too big to fit in my garage with my other car in there. We ended up getting a 2021Mercedes GLA 4Matic.

I just bought a 2021 Envision Essence FWD - It's absoluty beautiful - traded in my 2017 GMC Terrain

Thank you for this review … looking into this vehicle, because it just popped up on my radar! ( my brother just popped up on me in one … and yes I’m ALL late) But the lines on these on these are MUCH sportier ( to me ) than the XT4 … so yes .. Envision gets the nod.👍🏾

Why I love my 19 kia sorento ex v6 awd. First suv that has extended thigh support 👌

Does it have power folding outside mirrors? Or turn signals in the mirrors?

Buick did their homework on this model. They also make less expensive versions although I'm not convinced that there aren't other compelling alternatives at that price.

My husband is giving our 2018 Envision to our son and today he went out and bought the Envision Essence before they're all gone. He bought the Steel Grey Metallic color. From your video I'm questioning in the front passenger seat aren't isn't there a glove box and air vents? I hope he's got enough leg in room in the driver's seat because he's 6'2".

I have had mine for about a month a just love it rides very smooth and and very spacious handles very well like the look it has..the only thing like he said the front seat wish was a little bigger..

Nice video, but there's one thing all you reviewers seem to miss. Inside and outside lighting at night. Welcome lights, ambient lighting, etc. You are in a good position to capture this since your videos are mainly shot indoors and consumers don't get to experience it until after a sale. Just my 2 cents. ;)

Did you hear any buzzing sound from the onstart control panel when the engine is on? I tested drive a few of them and they both had that sound, including the one I bought, lol. Other than that, it was perfect. I bought the exact trim in the video.

I just hate the fact that potent six cylinder power appear to be almost completely supplanted by these highly efficient but uninspiring (from a auto enthusiasts standpoint) 2.0 liter 4 bangers which appear to be the new standard in the middle market

Hi Mike. Need your suggestions here. I am driving 2020 GMC Terrain Denali. I saw your review and liked this car a lot. Now little confused if I should trade off my Denali with this 2022 Envision Avenir. I would appreciate if you could please advise if this will be a right decision and would be an upgrade. I'm sure you must have driven 2020 Terrain Denali with 2 litre turbo engine. Thanks in advance.

What do you not like about the GMC terrain Denali?

One question. No body likes piano black interior trim pieces. Yet, they keep designing interiors that way. Why?

As soon as you said it can unlock from the back, I thought "dang I wish Kia did that" 😂

I LOVE the colour, which is Rich Garnet Metallic btw, you should have shown it in sunlight, its stunning. I just bought one. You nitpick about little things that don't mean squat to someone else, they are simply personal opinion (like your preference in head rest position for example). Maybe less of that, since it isn't relevant to most ppl, and more about the actual features of the vehicle, you skipped over a lot of the best ones! I swore I'd never buy GM again after several craptastic Chev models over the years but this Avenir won me over, hands down. Just waiting for it to arrive. Its built to be beautiful and comfortable, not a race car, its not fair to compare it to highend powerhouses. If thats your thing, go drop 80 grand on one, but for 50G, this Buick is well worth the money. Also, you mentioned being 5'8. I suspect the reason you have to reach to hit the controls on the steering wheel is because you probably have small hands (not an insult, ex was same height, same issue). I had no problem reaching the controls and it felt comfortable to me, same with my tall hubby who has long fingers, so it's not the car.

Buick Envision S VS Volkswagen Tiguan L I am currently working in China and I want to buy a car. Which car is better between the two? I'm thinking about it. Both models are gasoline. The price of the car is similar. The ‘Envision S’ I'm trying to buy is not the top version, so the interior is just black. The bright color is so pretty ㅠㅠ I am short of money. And fuel efficiency is not very good. ‘Tiguan’ has a good car, but Volkswagen is said to have turned the invisible parts into cheap ones to make up for the big losses it incurred last time. The interior Envision is stylish and the Tiguan feels neat and well organized. I think they are both pretty. Please give me some advice~~^_____^;;

I would definitely buy the Buick Envision! I’ve been watching tons of reviews on it! Saw the sport version on my way home one day at thought it was a BMW. I was shocked! 😅 I wonder if you could get the Avenir with the sport package? That would be perfect for me!!! 🥰

I find it interesting in the redesign on the top level version they no longer have the temperature controls for the rear seat. They don't have the rear tilt function for the rear seat either. It seems to lack a number of features from the previous version top of the line Premium II. I have the 2018 with all those features - this lacks all of them. Maybe I only have the six speed AWD automatic and I don't get the new interior, but without all those features is this really worth it? Worse, I heard 2021 is the last year for the Ionizer before GM takes that away as well. It seems they are making the car less luxurious in this generation, not more as Avenir is supposed to do.

Though prices have dropped as the 2021 Envision FWD 2.0T can be had on autotrader for $26K, no rear seat vents and no reclining or sliding seats is a real miss in this segment.

@@normt430 The rear seat vents are still there - but there are no separate controls to control the temperature in the rear. They lowered prices but took features out that used to be there - not even as an option.

@@normt430 Well on that car they never had it - they don't have it on the older Encore either. Those are both South Korean built and I guess too small (and narrow) to make that work.

Especially compared to the XT4 it's a bargain. To get all the tech in the XT4 is at least $10,000 more and I would say the interior is better looking in the Buick. Also the ride quality is better and I find the driver focused dash is fantastic. The only thing, more power would be nice! BTW, I've driven both.

GM should hire you to make their ads. Your music intro for this review is better than any ads they run. You made it look sharp, modern, classy and youthful. More than what GM does with their ads. In fact GM ads are the worst of all auotmakers. And this coming from a loyal GM owner.

Very beautiful suv

I had a 2020 XT4. It was the premium luxury model with 20” wheels. Cadillac is trying to be the American BMW, the suspension was firm, steering heavily weighted and direct with lots of road feel. There’s more visceral feedback, engine, road/tire. It handled more car like than virtually any other crossover or SUV. Ride was kind of crunchy over broken pavement. My lease was ending, so I looked at the Envision Avenir. The smoother ride and quieter interior won me over. The active suspension, in my opinion, is a great compromise between handling and ride. Unless you’re pushing it to the limit, the handling is more than adequate. Definitely not as crisp as the XT4, but very acceptable. I’m very happy with the vehicle as a replacement for the XT4.

I'm liking this vehicle a lot. in fact, one of GM's best products comes from Buick. but my only problem is long-term reliability ownership. Engine and Transmession. this Vehicle looks so good that I would like to own it for more than ten years. I love taking care of my vehicles. right now I have a 2012 Toyota Venza v6 AWD. it's really strong and has a style but. at the same time. nothing to be too excited about here. I wax and wash my 52 miles daily drive to work vehicle. with basic maintenance, the Toyota V6 engine is very smooth. and very reliable. there's a level of interior fit and finish. this Buick has. Toyota in this era of 2012 definitely doesn't have. in fact that is the only let-down the interior fit and finish. I hope the new Generation from Buick. has improved its engineering. by making solid engines and transmissions. with solid long-term, reliability is very important.

This 2021 Envision looks the part and smokes the Acura RDX in 30-50 mph, 50-70 mph and best the 60-0 mph stopping 15-feet shorter in Car & Driver testing. Such good price too!

The Buick Envision 2.0T is putting down a faster 27.5s figure-8 time vs 2019 CX-5 2.5T and 2019 RDX 2.0T at 27.7 in Motor Trend testing. That continues in an Emergency Lane test by Consumer Reports that has the Envision 2.0T doing 55.5 mph while the CX-5(non-turbo) did 54 mph and the RDX 2.0T can only go 52.5 mph. For 2019 Envision 2.0T gets a new 9-speed and 295 lb-ft of torque, 316 lb-ft of torque on overboost. The twin clutch and torque vectoring AWD is something that Mazda cannot match only able to use brakes on a single on a wheel for torque vectoring. The Hiperstrut, as also seen on Honda Civic Type-R as dual axis strut, eliminates any torque steer under accleration. At a discounted $35K the Envision Prem ll offers heads up display, adaptive high beams and articulating HID, adaptive cruise control with full stopping, tri-zone climate control, sliding rear seat, 12-volt outlet, along with Buick's longer warranty than Mazda.

I don't know where you got your numbers from, but my 2021 Audi Q5 outputs 261 HP, not 228. (And, BTW, I'm not your typical Buick basher...I've owned 7 or 8.

The center armrest is the same design Genesis has in the just-introduced GV80 and the flagship G80; and Mercedes has in the just-introduced new S-class and EQS. It's the way to go to look premium instead of a cheesy hatch with a slide-forward feature like a minivan. Jeesh, these "car guys" on youtube need to school themselves more tryin to sound all expert.

"...Pulling 0.84 average lateral g on the skidpad and putting up a 27.1-second figure-eight lap at 0.63 average g puts the Envision(2021) in good standing with the competition. The Acura RDX zipped around the bends almost as quickly, in 27.3 seconds at 0.62 g, and the Corsair 2.0 used 27.7 seconds at 0.67 g. Cousin XT4 recorded 26.3 seconds at 0.66 g....Needing only 116 feet to stop from 60 mph is a shade better than the XT4's 118 feet and is also better than the 2021 Acura RDX SH-AWD, which needed 120 feet, and the Lincoln Corsair AWD, which needed 126 feet... The Cadillac XT4 is the handsome brother but the Buick Envision is the sexiest Sister. I own a Cadillac XT4 Sport but soon I will trade it with a new Buick Envision Avenir 🤞🏻

Toyota has the same kind of rear view mirror. Buick doesn't even have automatic lane centering. Check out the Toyota Venza.

I've always like Buicks. I've driven LeSabres, Park Avenues and Regals. I'd choose the Buick over the Cadillac if the Buick wasn't made in China.

I think the XT-4 is made in Kansas. Previous XT4s were built in China.

Buick largest demographic is women and the vehicles designer. If you're under 5'5. This is perfect. Everything is accessible and they even have a built in place for the purse.
