Thanks for this review. Being in the market for this very car, I appreciate your comments about it. My wife likes the artic blue color, so if that's what it takes to get me one, I'm good with it! Some of the features that I really want: adaptive cruise control, built-in dash-cam (why hasn't the insurance industry lobbied to makes these standard in every car?), panoramic top-down view, auto-backup, heated steering wheel, head-up display, neck warmer (i.e. scarf!). As far as the front end goes: my wife's car is a Lexus, so I definitely don't mind big grills! What do all the complainers say about Lexus, I wonder. Thanks again for a nice review!

That area is beautiful! Getting Crestline/ Lake Arrowhead, CA vibes. So many amazing and scenic roads up there if you're a driving enthusiast. I'm close to pulling the trigger on a 4 series convertible myself, and taking it up to the mountains is the very first thing I want to do!

Like many, I did not like the new grille design when BWM revealed it. However, I recently saw one out in the wild and it gives the car a great road presence.

Would you reccomend a thin child seat for a E46 M3 Convertible? I am 6ft 2in and when my kid sits behind me I have to move the seat to an uncomfortable position for her feet to fit. So is there a thinner car seat you can recommend? Fyi i cannot have her sit on the other side because kid #2 sit behind the wife luckly she is 5ft. Also I have a Oxford Green M3 so im loving the color. And we got Nori Green Pearl RX350L. We decided to go Green, maybe I misunderstood the meaning lol.

You know, I used to hate the front a lot more than I do now. Now it's just, "don't like that very much" where it used to be a pretty visceral hatred for it. The people who said we'd get used to it certainly weren't kidding, huh?

Oh man, plantimg that BMW bug in Evie's mind is gonna get you some day. Lol I did that with my wife for a BMW X6 and she fell in love, but without a care of what her budget could warrant. Lol Still though, they're usually a fun drive, even if the styling for new models is a bit polarizing and the additional features get nickel and dimed.

If you've driven a sporty bmw in twists like they are you'll understand. They're amazing even if they have reliability issues. They feel incredibly confident from their slowest to their fastest car

Hermes makes pretty pricey scarves lol I have a bmw 2 series convertible that I cannot see myself parting ways with in a while. it is quite literally perfect. On this M440i model I love the neck warmer option and it really seems family friendly. I could definitely make it work. I dont like the front grill and i would never get an M car, i dont need all that performance stuff

Doesn’t look too bad as a ‘vert. At the same time, I’m okay with the M3 in a more muted color. The car’s so big though the thumbnail had me thinking you were driving a Bentley gtc. Come to think about it, that might be mountain friendly.

I’m sure the car is a great driver. IMO, the front grill work dominates the rest of car. Personally, I’m not a fan of the larger, no loner kidney shaped grill.

Really enjoy your family videos. The green and "white" interior is a beautiful combination spoiled by the massively ugly grill.... Reminds me of the ugly women's shoes era; someone forgot to rein in the over-the-top stylists that hate good design. "Let's see how outrageous we can make this and people with too much money will still buy it!" The trunk and back seat seat are a joke, but then again same in Camaros.

Nice car but the front is sooo fugly!

Let me preface by declaring I absolutely HATE the look of the giant grill on the new M3 sedan, M4 and 4-series coupe. Therefore, it boggles my mind that I think it actually works for the convertible with the top down and with this paint. I still hate how it looks with the top up, but with the roof down, it looks quite good, like it was an Art Deco styled car from the 1920s-30s but modernized. With the already-audacious nature of a convertible combined with the equally-loud design of the humongous grill, the two combine in perfect harmony, unlike the coupe and sedan where the gigantic grill and the roofed bodystyles clash against each other and end up looking awkward and downright ugly to a lot of people (including me).

I love BMW's, I had a E36 cabriolet for 24 years, trust me when I say I am so, so disappointed with that ugly chipmunk tooth butt cheeks of a grill. I'll drive it once BMW returns to less ghastly sized kidney grills

Ive seen a couple of m3 and 4 series on the road recently and I have to say this car is actually MORE HORRENDOUS IN PERSON THAN ON PHOTOS/VIDEOS

That grill is horrid! That would be reason enough not to get it lol
