2021 Black Belt Testing - During Pandemic

“Fall seven times and stand up eight.”
It is no easy feat to earn a black belt at Agape, let alone being selected as a black belt candidate. Candidates must train for years before even being considered for the Black Belt Test, and in the months leading up to their evaluation, they must prove themselves mentally, physically, and most importantly, demonstrate the indomitable spirit of an ABBC black belt! Last Saturday, these 15 candidates were tested on their knowledge of basic and advanced curriculum, self-defense, physical endurance, and mental strength for hours. Despite their personal challenges, all the students faced each adversity with commendable determination and resilience!
With that said, it is with great pleasure that we announce the newest class of black belts at Agape Black Belt Center! Among them, Casey Babcock, the first Hapkido black belt of ABBC, and our two newest Taekwondo masters, Amiel Prieto and Luke Ra! Please join us in congratulating...
Amiel Prieto - Taekwondo 4th Dan
Luke Ra - Taekwondo 4th Dan
Sarah Aljitawi - Taekwondo 1st Dan Advance

Really enjoyable to watch more traditional TKD grading without the Olympic influence . This is a fine example of how TKD grades should be . Well done to all involved.

What Master Ra and his family have created is such a masterpiece. I miss training with them. Master Ra is such an amazing teacher in and out of the Dojang, I gotta say I would never be the man I am today if I god hadn't brought Master Ra and his wonderful family into my life. Thank you so much for the knowledge and wisdom you gave me and continue to give me.

As a weeping style jujitsu practitioner I really appreciate the fact that these people are being taught how to defend themselves and if necessary others

At this point in their training, their instructors/masters/etc know how their power is, and are watching for technique and power. It is not always necessary to hit a bag or a board to display your abilities.

Black belts are on the table because the students have proven over time they are already worthy of them but still must complete the grade . Your comment lacks true martial arts spirit
