If their were Brits who were against Ham for a reson other than I mentioned, will, we know who they are!!! I'm a Somali and I cheering Max until the safety car came. @@caloykoy1 Yeah I think it was the Styrian Grand Prix. Don’t think it was that dangerous, most cars were many seconds behind when he did that if I remember correctly. He just got a warning in the end so everything fine :)

@@qlcrane8019 Being hopeful, I disagree. The select group who act out and behave unsporting are a very small minority. All we need to do is ignore them and let the government deal with them if they break the law. There are videos on KZread of British fans cheering on Max Verstappen. I realize some British fans are very obnoxious, but take a look at the videos shot by people sitting in the stand behind the tires Max Verstappen crashed into at Silverstone. I can't point out a single obnoxious spectator in that stand. They all seem like they came out on a lovely sunny day to have some fun and watch F1. Everybody clapped for Max Verstappen when he got out of his destroyed car on his own. Humans aren't as bad as you may think, only a select few are.

And on top of that Germans are more sportsman and know the rules better. 1) the racing director decides when the safety car leaves. 2) any cars may unlap, does not mean every car has to unlap. See Germans don't read with Hamilton coloured glasses. Before the race, all teams including winning German team Mercedes. Agreed on finishing the race, racing. If at all possible. It was possible and so we went racing. The German car won, and the Dutch racer won. This outcome is acceptable. Schönen tag noch.

By 2021, RedBull had caught up in both car design and p.u so comparing the 2021 season to the dominance of previous years is a tad stretched. Legend? Well we'll never know seeing has he'll never be paired with a World Champion team mate, nor will have a team mate allowed to fight him for wins. We'll never see a Rosberg/Hamilton style inter team fight with Max, as confirmed by Horner a few months back I think.

Was so giddy, friends and all shouting over discord. Man, such a high!

The extra crazy part was that this was at 2am. I think for most Aussies, it wasn't sitting well that Hamilton was basically only still in the title race because he punted Verstappen off at Silverstone and effectively got away with it, and then his teammate wiped Verstappen out the next week. There's also a desire to see Hamilton fail to break Schumacher's record outright, a bit of a perception that Hamilton is a bit of a spoiled brat who never had to fight his way up from the back and is only 7 times WDC because of the car, and not even in the way Michael was by working for it.

Masi would have sent lapped cars past a few laps before, but Latifis car recovery was weirdly delayed, so he sent them when safe instead. Anyone arguing that the lapped cars shouldn't have gone past was hoping for a boring finish where a technical absurdity gave the win to Lewis. Lapped cars went past as always happen after a SC - it was ultimately Mercedes bad strategy call + Lewis non-aggressive driving lost him the championship. Lewis could have held Max, he just didn't.

Mercedes fan here - I'm very happy Verstappen won. It was his championship to win. The only thing upsetting is how fuckin gullible Masi was. That was probaby Lewis's race to win, but 100% it was Verstappen's championship to win. All worked out in the end.

Masi will not have a job in F1 next season, it was an absolutely diabolical decision he made in not letting the rest of the field unlap themselves. Admittedly I’m a LH fan, but I’m an F1 fan first and foremost and anybody who can look at how this race finished in an objective manner would have to agree that it was a dreadful conclusion to what had been an otherwise fascinating season.

Lewis raced Red Bull this year, while Verstappen raced both Mercedes AND FIA at the same time this year. Max was also taken out by a mercedes in two races in a row earlier in the season. While the way it happened was controversial, there was no driver on the grid more deserving of that championship title than Verstappen this year, and that is a fact. And no, I am not a Verstappen fan nor a Hamilton hater. I am a Leclerc fan.

We from Indonesia also celebrate the same thing. We are very happy that Max becomes F1 world champion 2021. Max is awesome!

Goosebumps…still to this day.. incredible perseverance from Max that whole year till that last finish line ❤

Rewatching this video is more effective than any antidepressant. It's June 2023 and I watch this and other Abu Dhabi 2021 final lap reaction videos whenever I feel blue. My mood instantly improves. I started watching Formula 1 in the 1980s. I became a fan of Max since 2016 and I don't remember feeling such a strong sporting emotion in my entire life.

@@SIgor420 you kinda can. Said KZread videos in public settings such as the bar in this video are unbiased unlike Twitter/Facebook ect. You can actually see a room full of unbiased fans showing there honest emotions in the moment. Judging from the few videos I've seen not many people seem to be disappointed when Max pass's Lewis which kinda shows Lewis isn't as popular as his fans/ the press would like you to think he is

Anyone who dares to say that the majority of the people around the world were supporting Lewis (a great driver & sportsman btw) makes him/her self a fool ! It seems almost everyone felt like Max deserved this championship because overall he just was the best in the 2021 F1 season !

I wish I could have gone somewhere to celebrate like this around a group of excited fellow formula one fans. But I live in America so I felt rather alone in my excitement. People here are too closed minded with their American sports to realize what they are missing when it comes to formula one

I feel your pain, I’m in Canada and I watched from my living room… alone lol.. why did my favourite sport have to be big every EXCEPT America??? Haha just my luck.. we host one in Montreal, which is like 6 hrs from me.. and still i only know one other guy who’s really into it (and he’s from Poland). Stupid nascar lol overshadowing our F1!

What a season, both drivers did exceptionally well and yes I'm a Brit but I cheered for Max, over the year he deserved it for sure. Amazing.
