Thanks for posting these races. We do not get to see a lot of good races on cable because football is deemed more important than a real sport, racing.

Hey, IMSA! As I've stated in posts on prior Pilot races, the GS and TCR fields REALLY NEED A "SPLIT" START - the start of this race is EXACTLY what I've expected would happen! A split would allow the TCR drivers to "sort things out" among themselves - before dealing with any slower GS entries (even better: also institute enough HP differential between the two classes to make it hard for even the best TCRs to "mix it up" with the GS field, until it involves the latter passing through the former as the race progresses - more of a "two races in one" scenario like those between GTLM and GTD, or DPi and LMP2). PLEASE (RE-)IMPLEMENT THIS FOR 2021!!!

Thank you IMSA, I loved this one! An awful start, a few drivers that seem out of their league, and John GOD DAMNED JINXING cars that don't need more jinxing -- but the last 30 minutes were terrific and couldn't have played out better.

The classes need to be started with a gap between them. Its not that fair that worst of one class has to tangle with the best of another right at the start. Give these guys the chance to settle down and find their rhythm.

IMSA 2020 is always the best.

Laguna Seca never lets you down for great racing. Great race.

They really need to do a split start like in Super GT, especially since there is a bit of overlap in pace between the fast TCR's and the slow GT4's.

This was a very awesome race. I felt bad for Rebel Rock. They had the potential to win the race. Along with Hytera's team cars. I can only imagine. If the WRC guys. Who race the I20.Try out Mr Hytera's cars.

RR is my fav - when "Rocket Robin" Liddell takes over driving; owner/driver Depew seems better-suited for the former...

Just like iRacing, the TCR field gets ruined by the GT4 backmarkers. xD

37:12 There was a touch between the 61 Audi and the Camaro that got the Camaro loose and spun him.

Thank god there is no DPI class!! They run around and crash other cars and no penalties...should be a good race without them.

SFR SCCA 13:15. What they seem to have missed in that incident is the massive amount of oil dumped across the track. Needed additional attention the next morning. At the restart they talk about the dust, but was really residual oil absorbent. Surprised it did not cause more problems.

John is a nice announcer with a lot of experience, but his tendency to make enormously erroneous and/or nonsensical calls often drives me nuts. And it doesn't stop there. He sometimes stays clueless a long time after he should've figured how the thing actually went. In this race he started speculating whether the 71 spun on its on while both camera angles show that it was clear as day that there was contact, and all this after seeing the replay. The man probs got his eyes glued to the timing screen 90% of the time.

So, when did the Infinity Series add Laguna Seca to the schedule?

Is this iRacing ? Crash everywhere, GT4s bottom slower than TCR.

@@AdamAllen haha, so true^^ (I run TCR on iracing, and even with a big margin at start, we always have to overtake nearly half of the GT4 grid....)

33:53 The Camaro checked up because of the slow Porsche and was rear-ended by a BMW that shoved the Camaro into the back of the Porsche.

From what I saw it died under caution. Didn't wait around to see if it came back to life after that but probably not.

Might not wanna do a start with tcr so close next time, shambles that was, not as if you don't know the tcr cars are quick in corners, take a longggg hard look imsa. Infact a better idea would be to have separate races, when you see what happens to the Camaro on a circuit like this, tcr cars diving down the inside, for what? it just messes with the results. And most def a touch on his rear end as you can see the puff of smoke and damage to the bumper, to which, why wasn't ernstone given a penalty, clearly his fault, hit somebody from behind, always the followers fault, stewards need to look at themselves too, been some dodgy decisions this year.

As a first time imsa watcher and getting into it more and more, is it okay to be annoyed by the camaro looked like he kept limiting the TCR cars and doing unnecessary shit even tho it’s not his class someone enlighten me plz

The camaro didnt have to move out the way, its in the higher class, if they want to pass, work it out, dont just dive up the inside because you are frustrated.

@@ChrisGramm however you look at it, he still hit him from behind replays and damage to left rear bumper show this, so again audi at fault for a dive on a gap that was only going to shut.

I couldn't even keep watching the video because the announcer and his old stuttering sidekick were so bad, between arguing and abdbdbdb I quit. The racing is great but please! Americans that can pronounce English properly !!

one thing ill never understand... i wouldnt take an audi/bmw to go to the nearest gas station unless a towing is following me ( known terrible german electronics.. engine itself is fine ). but in gt race they're damn reliable... in real world hyundai is really reliable.. in gt it look like they cant finish a race. i understand almost everything is changed from road to race version , but why a crap car bebome good and a good car become crap... WHY.
