    Thanx for video. I'm deciding to buy one of these and repaint in black. I see them every day flying nearby in black.

    @@JestRR You, I got the black 800 size Airwolf and suprisingly I can see him very good. I'm orienting by his shape and the heading. OK white belly maybe helps something too and green/red navigation lights also. There are so many helis on list so we will see... 😃

    Another fun vid. I'm going to build one of these and have a question on the cargo hook. Is a working hook with load release or do know where abouts I could find one. Cheers

    I have Hughes MD 500 but a 600 size electric. Only using a 6s. Always wanted to move up to a 800sz...I have the Military Dirty Green look. i absolutely love it. Very rare to see a 800sz Electric like this. I been seeing a lot of Turbines lately in this size. Great Video..I really can appreciate this...I going to be starting my 800 project very soon.....if you ever want to sell yours let me know..i'm in the US...

    THis one is not mine but most all helis now a days are electric. I have HUGE 1000 size, 40 pounders running off electric that were turbine. The motors and electronics are so much more accessible. And a turbine stuck in a fuse is not as impressive as one that is exposed to see like in a Lama.....But I'll take a Turbine any day!

    @@JestRR damn so you’d go electric? I’m trying to decide Nitro v Electric. My thoughts are duration of flight time and battery expenses. This bird seems very quiet.

    @@Gsxrtrix most helis now a days are electric. If theirs room you can stick double packs in there or just some really big packs….like 10,000 mah size packs. Then you can get 10-12 min flights. Gasoline engines are the only really good scale engines for log flight times but they vibrate like hell!! Nitro will not have the power a lot of the times unless they are screaming at high RPMs. Then you run into gearing issues where we like to have our main rotor RPM at say 1400 for a 600 size heli, and in order to get the power out of nitro, they have to turn the main rotor at 2000 rpm. Food for thought!!

    @@JestRR Hi. Understand. I guess I’ll have to buy another one! I’ve been looking at the Align T-Rex 600 or 700 series. Seems like a decent setup. Now that I’ve seen this, I might dive into the 800’s

    what size of pilot? what size of motor? i am building the same thing and my motor doesnt line up all four bolts. did you have to drill out holes?

  • @JestRR

    @JestRR

    Ай бұрын

    Not sure what size motor he had in there. They normally run from 450-530kv. As for the holes, normally only two line up. Cause the manufacturer of the motors matched only two holes for these helis but wanted an option for mounting them in different aircraft. Just some blue lock tight and you’ll be good!!

    More than likely a 530kv motor and I think he’s running 1250 rpm. I’m not 100% sure but that the normal set up for those helis.

    @@JestRR im building one of these and Wow these instructions it came with are horrible lol 😂 anyway you could take some pictures of the mechanics around the rotor? Where did u mount your esc? Did you orientate your motor so the leads are facing back towards the tail? It seems it has to be that way but then the motor leads hit the carbon next to the rotor gear ⚙️ did u notch the carbon out?

    @@JestRR That's exactly right! I get a kick out of people who think they can fly an RC chopper for the first time without ever flying one in their entire life!. I have both, (drones and helis) and one is used for one purpose and the other is used for another purpose but when I want to "Fly" It's the RC Heli that is way better!.
