Triumph's specs on this bike is way off. The seat height is more like 34" which doesn't matter Zack because you're vertically gifted being over 6 feet. Triumph states 36X lbs wet, LIARS! You measured 414. Although I will share, she feels more lithe than my 2019 R3 @ 368 wet. I own #209. The MPG sucks, 28. But then again, who buys a sportbike for gas mileage? In my 20+ years of riding and owning several bikes, every time I go on a ride with her, it reminds me of what a $20K bike should be. How tight everything is and how perfect the parts come into harmony with each other, ASTONISHING!!! It's perfection. The Ohlins suspension makes all the bumps on the road disappear. One finger stopping power...CHECK! Last, but not least, that 765 engine. Character for days! The sound is unlike any and when the power hits in first, there goes the front, pointed at the moon. It's a small price to pay for preciseness, veracity, and delicacy. So, what you waiting for? Get it!!!

@@sanj5026 I would say so, although it definitely depends on how much kick you get out of just riding that particular bike. I have an RSV4 Factory, which I'm sure is, ergonomically speaking, very much the same as the Daytona and although it most definitely doesn't lend itself well to touring, it's still so much fun in the twisties with good surface. But short weekend rides is all I do on it and I bought it with that idea in mind.

As an owner of one of these Daytona 765 Moto 2's who does actually daily ride this bike, I think you've absolutely nailed the review! Pretty much spot on with all your comments (the good and bad) and aligns very closely with my personal experience of the bike. Thanks for making this video!

I'm still thinking a standard 2013 onwards Daytona would be just as good on the road, without the expense or worry about it. Am I wrong?
@KrustyCream

@@stevesas632 Finding a low mileage 13'-on 657R for less than $9K in my area is a challenge. Moto2s with break-in mileage are available for LESS than a Street Triple RS new. I own a Moto2 currently. I've owned early 675 R's and it's an addicting analog experience that's hard to replace. The Moto2 is so refined (for better and worse). The Pros: The quick shifter is bi-directional and the best out of any modern sportbike. The electronics are quite good even without an IMU. Every component is slightly better and modernized over the 675Rs including a fat midrange for power. Cons: Nothing beats an analog throttle cable IMO. Prices for "track spec" 675s are pretty hard to beat. OH YEAH, the 24' Street Triple RS that's coming out Spring of this year is a fresh redesign, has 128HP to match the Moto2, an IMU, Stylema Calipers, and Triumph lowered the price... something to think about.

@@TreyyDaMenaceFan Yes, unpopular opinion if you've seen MCN or 44 teeth's first impression videos, or if you've seen and/or heard the RS660 (270 degree crank parallel twins sound tasty and Aprilia exhausts usually toe the line on legality), really they cheat because pretty much all emissions tests are done with the bikes in neutral so Aprilia puts a valve in the exhaust that opens up when the bikes are in gear.

There is nothing better than the sound of a triple motor. The fact you can putt around town or bounce off the rev limiter and the motor is happy at either extreme is magic.
I personally find hard to watch review videos for motorcycles all the way thru, but your videos - I stop what ever else I’m doing just to watch them ! Good job
My 2008 675 was my all time favorite bike. 800 mile days (brutal), track days (super fun), canyon carving (the most fun)...... Sold it a long while ago but I still judge other sport bikes on that! That all being said, I've got my eye on a RSV4 1100 because I'm at the point in my life where I can have different bikes for different uses!
I'd still take the supermoto over the sportbikes for daily riding. Easier to see, upright, easy to throw on a work bag if commuting. No contest, for me anyway :) Loved the video, great work as always!
This series of videos really hit the spot, great work RevZilla and Zack. Please do the Aprilia RS660 soon. Ta.
Zack, you make some of the best motorcycle content on KZread, without a doubt.
Very cool bike! Great article and video. I love that the humble Versys is still at the top of the leaderboard!
Just love this show. Fun and informative. Easy peasy. Selfish suggestion.. how about an episode with a Speed Twin? That’s the one I’m drooling over these days.
That’s a beautiful bike. “Looks at checking account.” Damn it. I’ll have to settle for riding vicariously through the video.
"Fueling" is to motorcycles as "Tone" is to Guitars. Every time I hear someone discuss "fueling" I assume they are actually talking about a fuel map and AFR and then I realize that, no... we're just generally talking about what occurs when you apply throttle.
@barnsnoble7066
3 жыл бұрын
I personally prefer the buttery fueling of a 1969 CB750. You can really tell the difference between a vintage bike and a modern bike. Same goes with aluminum vs steel frame bikes. Some people think fueling metal isn't real, but let me tell you man, it makes a difference.
@xavlamela9055
3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha that's spot on ! A good fueling is defined only by a good AFR, and on the road bike I know from experience they never come with good ratios... What he may like is the throttle response that may be really good on such a high caliber of a bike :)
Ahhh the good ol 710 and the vincent Thomas bridge. Nice to see the harbor again. I'm from SoCal, born in harbor city, grew up in San Pedro. I know that area all too well.
Great video...see how far the prices drop over winter ! Thanks for being honest on the comfort thing
I would never never never have taken a gorgeous bike like that down that track road bro, but regardless, lovely review my friend, well worth 35 minutes of my saturday. Loved it. Well done Triumph.

I think a major factor that should go into how good of a daily rider a bike is, is how much fun it makes the daily ride
Those chuckles on the throttle, yup we've all been there. You got a little kiss from Baetona haha.
Loved the video and the entire series so far! Although I wonder if the Daytona 765 Moto2's limited production should've counted against it on the cheap/expensive axis? On paper it may be the same as the africa twin, but that is only true for the 765 lucky customers.
It’s a stunner for sure. Lovely machine 👍🏼
Hey man! love your videos, just a little request that you also state the specs in metric units for your viewers across the globe!
Greatly looking forward to your ride on the upcoming Trident 660.
If you can i would love to see you get your hands on the Revised 2021 Honda CB1000r with that new subframe and Blacked out look
Please setup a leaderboard on the website I'd be very interested in one
I just recently upgraded from a Ninja 300 to a 2014 Triumph Daytona 675 and I love the bike. It is very responsive and the linear power band of the inline triple engine is awesome. The riding position is a bit hard to bear on longer rides, so far I've only been on it for 2 hours at the most. I normally do a 600km (6-7 hour ride) motorcycle trip in the summer to the Ottawa Valley and I'll have to see if I can bear it on the Daytona. I'm now thinking for my next bike I want to get the Triumph Street Triple especially for touring in mind.

Wanna trade the daytona for my striple? 🤣
@roughsponge
3 жыл бұрын
Stick with the Daytona, loosen up your riding stye and move around more on the bike (take short breaks now and again) They are not as uncomfortable as people say. You will not get a better feeling for the road on a striple and the Daytona is better engineered. I've over 30 years of riding experience and my biggest regret was selling my D675 and buying an MT-09 to be "comfy"
Hardly a daily. Still, upvote for Zack and Revzilla!
Great video as always
@RevZilla Someone needs to do a supercut of Zacks giggles; it is endearing and funny 😄
"I've got scales, and I know how to use them." Yessss!
Had a deposit on this model, then Covid hit. I cancelled and they kept my deposit - bummer! No regrets, but it sounds like the bike lives up to the hype. Michael Neeves wasn’t too complimentary. I like Zach’s review here better. I think he hit the essence of this bike. Cheers!
XD i love how you giggle a little bit every time you open up the throttle
Never fail to be impressed / unnerved by Zack's ability to split / manoeuvre through traffic.
you probably have the dream job of every gearhead out there including me! very nice bike!
Are you guys ever going to do the Royal Enfield GT650/INT650 reviews for Daily Rider? It seems to fit the affordable and daily bike category.
Awesome stuff Zack! This or Panigale V2 for track only?
Scales is a game changer!
Awesome review! I do wish it had IMU electronics just given the price...even if it doesn't 100% need it.
You guys should grab a new Royal Enfield and give it the Dailey Rider treatment!! Ive been watching a lot of videos and would love to hear your opinions on it!!
Are you going to do a daily rider segment on the new triumph trident and Suzuki gsx s?
Last thing I want to bring to a track day is a exclusive bike. The cost and the time for repair if anything happens is going to be massive. This is why I am not buying this bike even though I like it a lot. Why couldn’t Triumph just make a normal Daytona 765r?
