The Suzuki Gixxer price has been hiked for the first time since its launch in March 2020. The bike is now dearer by Rs
2,041, costing Rs 1,13,941 (ex-showroom Delhi). Even the price of its faired sibling, the Gixxer SF, has been hiked.

The Suzuki Gixxer 155 is available in a single variant. The BS6 Suzuki Gixxer’s price is set at Rs 1,13,941 (ex-
showroom Delhi). When the BS6-compliant iteration was launched, it was a whopping Rs 11,688 dearer than the BS4 Suzuki
Gixxer. Suzuki is not offering too many new features on the BS6 Gixxer. The Suzuki Gixxer 155 had received a facelift
last year with the Japanese manufacturer kitting the bike with LED headlight and tail lamp. The Gixxer gets a full-
digital instrument cluster, which is slightly different from the first-gen model. The new console has a slimmer font,
giving it a less cluttered look. The BS6 Suzuki Gixxer is powered by the same old 155cc single-cylinder air-cooled
fuel-injected engine that you found on the BS4 bike. The BS6 motor now makes 13.6PS at 8000rpm and 13.8Nm at 6000rpm,
0.5PS and 0.2Nm lower than before. Suzuki has stuck to a five-speed transmission for the Gixxer. There are no changes
to the foundation of the highly agile Gixxer. Suzuki has given the Gixxer a chunky telescopic fork and a mono shock to
handle suspension duties, both of which are set on the firmer side. The braking hardware consists of disc brakes at
both ends with single-channel ABS coming in as standard.

How is Pillion Comfort. Is it manageable enough to go for short weekend ride, like 150-200 kms a day with pillion ?

@@rupeshmanandhar3782 pillion seat is not so comfortable you can go for 100 150 200 even 400+ kms with pillion but that depends on the condition of roads I had done 3/4 rides which was more than 300kms with pillion, so you can go for rides with a pillion if the road conditions is good then it will be a suitable ride if road conditions is bad then the ride will be slightly hectic..

The cockpit looks like we are driving a smaller brother of z900. Only the console is different.

Hands down the Gixxer in all departments. The FZ is nowhere near the Gixxer as far as overall performance and involvement is concerned, but it is also very expensive for what it offers. So, the choice is yours.

Good video Nitish Bhai. It's a shame what happened to the Gixxer. It is such a good motorcycle and does not justify the poor sales right now. If Suzuki had priced it more competitively, the Gixxer would have set the cash registers ringing. Near perfect motorcycle in the segment. Hope it sees better days in the future.
