2020 Subaru Levorg GT in-depth review

Hello Hello,
Welcome to the Subaru Levorg GT, this is an all wheel drive estate car that rivals cars such as the VW Golf Alltrack & the Seat Leon X-perience. In the UK all Levorg models come equipped in a high specced GT trim that includes a host of technology such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, reversing camera, heated leather seats and sat-nav. They also come exclusively with a 2 litre naturally aspirated engine that produces 150bhp and around the same number in torque. Power goes through a CVT transmission that has simulated steps in it to mimic a traditional gearbox. The Levorg reaches 60mph in under 9 seconds.

I have had the turbo 1.6l-version in Finland over 2 years now. The car delivers everything for the family. And in winter, the 4wd is so good.

@@CarsofGlasgow I think that might be a bit too soon, I’ll probably be looking to change in March/April time next year. I’m in Ayrshire though so not too far away from Helensburgh so I will keep an eye out 👍

Superb looking car, a bit different than the usual suspects, thats why I like Subarus. I hate the fact our roads are filled with bores with no imagination, always going for the supposedly fashionable trendy brands because they want to fit in with the in crowd. Scared of being different and having to explain to their work colleagues why they haven’t got a three series BMW. By following the flock it simply shows a lack of confidence on their part, preferring to be like everyone else because they think it makes them belong to some sort of exclusive club. The BMW, the new build Barratt house. All for show. How very sad. Id have this Levorg over a German car any day. Being an individual gives me far greater personal pleasure.

One of the main reasons why I drive my subaru leggy saloon. Well said.
How is the acceleration and torque on it? If you for example want to pass a vehicle on the road are you able to just gas to full and pass instantly without needing to accelerate before?

No problems with the 2 litre. Cvt is easy when you get used to how they work, its not a foot to the floor approach, they arent designed for that. Overtake easy, bit of a foot down then increase revs as soon as start to overtake.

Really great looking car. Shame about the lack of power at 150bhp. Would have been better if they'd have given it 180 bhp.

which version does 0-60 6 seconds.. this one not the 2.0?

the 2.0l is the slow option which is about 8.9 seconds to 60mph

Is is capable of off-roading?

Not really, it has awd but I wouldn't take it further than you would take a Golf Alltrack etc.

No, its a sports tourer like the old Legacy which ive got, its standard ride height is the same and designed for excellent on road grip in nasty weather.
