I prefer the maxi case/lugs/indices. I also prefer the 40mm and thinner clasp width. Glad I bought mine two years ago (without date version). It's been great and sits between my Omega Speedmaster (sapphire sandwich) and Seiko Tuna (sbbn031). When Grand Seiko makes a 40mm diver with thickness under 13mm and spring drive, then I'll add one to my collection. However, I'm thinking of becoming a Seiko Tuna collector. Between my three watches, the Tuna gets the most wrist time (4 of 7 days).
Hi Andy! Very English!!!!!! Great video! Glad I found your channel! All the best!
Great honest review! Love your videos Andy, keep up the good work 👍
Definitely one of my favourite watches! Love the footage you have taken, very well shot and very thorough 🙂 I think my absolute favourite is the 16610ln but I do love this model too especially with the ceramic bezel. They look like different watches in many ways but still have that signature look and feel. Great video.
Excellent review, very detailed!
I enjoy your personality : ) Keep up the great work!
My favourite Rolex , nice review
Nice review as always Andy. Since you mentioned the cornet being upside down on the crown, I have a 40mm Sub purchased in Feb 2020 and my cornet is perfectly aligned and right side up when full screwed in. I feel if it wasn’t, it would bother me. But my Datejust 41 has it sideways. So I guess I got lucky with the Sub!
Beautiful and very knowledgeable review sir 🙌🏼🔥 more power to your channel 😊😊
Congrats 🎊👌🏼👌🏼
Great vid mate. Would be interesting to compare this with your PO, even though a regular Seamaster is probably more comparable. Would still make for an interesting discussion I’m sure!

It’s in the pipeline.
they have vastly improved that bracelet I would love to buy one, but just be dealing with the hassle of persuading someone to take to my £7k I do like the calm style of the reviews
Great review Andrew👍 I was lucky to be offered this watch as a 1st purchase from an AD 2 years ago and and jumped at the opportunity - it’s a fantastic daily wear watch. I was even luckier to be offered the New ‘no date’ Sub last month as my 1st purchase from a different AD last month that they received in their new release shipment 🍀 Not all of these watches go straight out of the AD’s back door or to favoured customers - in my experience during a 4 year search for Rolex steel professional models there are still a few (but no many) genuine AD’s.

I agree. You’ve just got to be prepared for an occasional brush off. But they are out there.
The English are really more efficient eh? What a review Sir well done.
Great watch. I am going to my local AD today to get my name on the list for the new 41mm variant. So, Ill probably get one sometime in 2022. :) I don't care, i'll wait it out. You are so right its a great watch and the price is correct, the retail price that is, not the inflated prices now being asked. Lets remember this is a high end mass produced piece. Excellent but mass manufactured.. I had a 14060 for the longest time and loved it. So looking forward to it

For me it had to have a date. I see no regrets on the horizon.

How did you manage to obtain one in the UK, did you have history for an AD ?

Yes, I bought 2 Tudors from this branch of Goldsmiths previously. I also had a few Omega’s from Goldsmiths over the previous 3 years, albeit from another branch. I had a 9 month wait, which was ok.
Hi Andy my sub date purchased new February 2020 the crown when tight stops on an angle? I’m sure if we went to at James place they would alter them , it’s a fault really .

Im still mad at myself for buying this model when the 70 hour power reserve model came out not even a year later😑

Wear it everyday and you’ll never have to worry about the power reserve. I also prefer the smaller clasp of the old gen.
Kudos for coronet, rather than crown.
Hello, whats your Wrist-Size, Sir ?

6.75”. Average I’d say.
though i agree with what you have to say i personally don't understand why people buy the submariner other than these are the people that could afford another watch too. I would rather pay for the gmt rolex its a MORE OF complication I could say, being that i only see in terms of ONE watch type of person because i cannot afford anything more. To conclude I'd prefer one watch to rule them all because i love it more than any other, even if i was wealthy i have trouble seeing how to appreciate dozen's of watches...

I agree to an extent. If I was able to get a GMT Master II, I’d have moved on the Tudor GMT and settled, happily with a 3 watch collection (GMT, Speedy, Planet Ocean). Owning the Sub will always give me options for the future. In the mean time, I’ll just enjoy wearing it. I don’t want a collection, happy with 3 or 4.
The maxi case sucks. It just doesn’t look right with the larger lugs.
