Ktm 690 and the 701 Husky everyone says they are different but are they really? whats your input! thanks so much

Man how awesome it would be to ride like Graham!

One of the bigger differences is the Husky has a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty and the KTM is one year 12,000 miles. Hopefully we get the 701 LR sometime in the US!

Yeah baby we got them and I got one a 20 701lr the only one my dealer will get beautiful bike can't wait to get a seat Concepts on it and maybe some knobbies

Also remember the second tank on the new LR let you go over 300 miles that's a beautiful thing you can switch between tanks and keep it balance however you want. Not to mention traction control nap switch and abs beautiful setup

I just bought a new 2020 KTM 690 Enduro R. Spent several weeks trying to decide between the 701 and 690. The only real tie-breaker for me was proximity of a good dealer. A bike with no local dealer support can be a big problem, especially the higher tech machines with lots of electronics.

Is it not possible to drop a husky at a KTM dealer? Do they need other diagnosis software? Other tools?

The best comparison video out there. So honest/true, about "which color do you like?" It's so easy to over-think these things and get into the weeds.

Good review but for gods sake put on some protective gear!

How do you know the Husqvarna is balanced better? I'm thinking about buying a ktm but this is really bugging me!

I’m a Husky Terra owner, & looking at selling mine, & getting a 2020 701 but in 18 months time second hand. In Australia the KTM holds its value better on the second hand market. 👍

Where are you getting that the husq is more balanced? Is that a stat or was that just the feel of the bike? How could their balance be different if they have the same parts in the same places?

I think what he said was that the 690 holds a little more fuel which is the reason the 701 is more balanced. It's really negligible...

One major difference that was left out (or I missed it). If you're looking to buy new like me you will find that the Huskie has I slightly higher sticker price and Huskie dealers are more scarce so you won't find them marked down as easy either.

LOL, I guess going to the grocery store can be a real adventure these days.....

I have a 701LR because ktm690 don't have enough range. My last bike was a ktm950 adventure, a great bike.

I like KTM engineering but i just don't appreciate orange plastics or frames. If I could afford one a color change would be top priority. All that said KTM is top of the line as far as I'm concerned. Riders skill is usually what separates the bikes on the trails.

How would you change the color of the orange frame without having to take everything off and put it back?

Between 701 enduro 2019 and 701 enduro 2020 there are diferences ,maps ABS and front shocks in 2019 are 275 mm and in 2020 are 250...so i understand 701 2019 is more capable off road than the 2020. Saludos desde españa. And other common thing between both of them is the clutch pusher break in both :)

701 has a different rear suspension that hooks in so much better off road. Both brilliant bikes.

Just different subframe, engine parts, chassis, tanks, saddles, bars, lights. So same same but different then. That they r based on the same engine doesnt make them the same. The most important difference is the different frames and swingarm mounting. So basically they r not the same! They will probably have a different feel. Have different engine characterics, feel from chassi. The dual tank on the husky is really interesting too. My audi a4 share the engine with any skoda too - doesnt mean they r the same. For me its a matter of realibility - the carbon/steel subframe is really inreplaceable and harder to mount racks on etc. and different swingarm setup is really important. The husky enduro machines r also lower to ground now. White or orange. Its a little bit more complex than that…. U r just deluding yourself. The execution of these bikes r not that similar - so they should ride differently. I would look at the husky even though the subframe is basically like plastic and unreparable.

When a company owns husky they benefit! Huskies upgrade of the motor is paramount! Husky did same when BMW owned them!

buy a rebuild kit for the 701, piston comes in an orang KTM BOX. Enough said.

I've never owned either bike, and I likely never will as I occupy the cheap seats on bikes like the KLR, but being on the outside looking in, it seems they are just about the same bike. Listening to people argue about it reminds me of something my wife's grandfather did. He was always a Chevrolet man until the last one he bought. He said, "That thing was a lemon. Chevrolet can't build a decent truck any more. That's why I switched to GMC." I kid you not.

@@ShafterRod not sure I said I was a Ktm guy 10 times not even 5 times. It’s a video for entertainment KZread is a short video pretty all videos. If you can’t make 10 minutes to watch them find the 30 second ones. Making videos is harder than they look and that’s why trolls exist because it’s easy to bash than create
