Greetings from South Carolina. IMO HDRs are amazing for the price and value. Not the most diverse selection but certainly worth the price for an entire daily meal.

I've got a couple cases of these in addition to MRE's. These HDRs are really good! Those Pop Tarts remind me of the original ones in the 60's when I was a kid.

Great video. These HDR's are pretty good...and a great deal.

Hi there, great reaction. New subscriber here 😊 I had a HDR last year and enjoyed all of it apart from the grape smoothie that was in mine but grape flavour isnt much of a thing on this side of the pond! look forward to watching more of your vids.

Love the change of pace and comments about how these ration meals are designed for. Keep in mind how much water is contained in the entire ratio. Many people don't realize how much water you get just from your food.

Great review. I have a whole case of these i need to get out and review. Its a bummer they have no drinks. And what is the sugar for??? Lol. With no FRH they are meant to be ate at room temperature. I would heat it up also. The sunflower butter in the new HDRs is really good. Thanks for sharing. Also, great towel trick!

i'm guessing the sugar is either for very quick energy, or if you do have tea/coffee available you can throw it in there. the towel trick came straight from a pro!

I used to have a case of those, but I ate them....LOL. I really like the mains, but the cookies have such a weird chemical taste. Nice review!

I like them too. Not everyone digs the HDR's. I am cool with that though, as they are still cheaper than regular MRE's and they have about 1000 more calories at that lower price. Obviously, since they are supposed to be a full days ration and not a single meal like a military MRE

if you get one with rice. you definitely need to boil it. also you can heat the oatmeal cookie.

Good review of a solid and under-rated ration.

I see these more as survival packs that really dont have the heavy calories like military mres which are better for heavy physical activity. They also lack the extras like a mre. But the taste of these are pleasing and inexpensive and i wouldnt be angry getting one of them.

Girl, you and Amber need to come to the Jacksonville, Hubert, Swansboro area. We have actual military stores to buy military stuff and tons of thrift and antique stores…. There is also an aquarium not far away in the Emerald Isle area…. I also have some of my dad’s military stuff like canteen etc…. I will have to dig it out.

These are great for emergency use but The ration is really high in sodium (around 3000mg). If you're expending energy and sweating, the sodium is probably not an issue. I wouldn't be upset if these were drop shipped in an emergency. The only downside is the lack of a beverage. A teabag or instant coffee would have been nice.

i believe it is technically vegan, although i think it contains trace amounts of milk powder and/or may be cross contaminated with animal products due to shared processing equipment

We used to throw these to Muslims that couldn't eat red meat and chicken.

Gigantic Pet Peeve for you, and all "reviewers" of any products. Too much yap yap yap. If you say you're going to stop screwing around and "get right to it", then for the love of God do so. Don't take another five minute rabbit trail about the freakin sell by date or the info on the packet. Do that separately, AFTER you do your review. Please. Basic editing skills aren't that hard. I'm not going to subscribe because your delivery is random, poorly scripted, and verbose.
