Great video! I just bought a 2020 Ridgeline RTLE and it was so much easier to follow along with your demonstration. Additionally, your video demonstrated features that are not listed in the owners manual. Thanks for taking the time to make this.

Thanks for the question. Technically the infotainment system, when you start it up, should display what ever was on the screen, when you shut it off. I’m guessing there was some kind of update that caused the change. There isn’t a way in settings to change that that I’m aware of. Thanks for watching!

To reset the whole infotainment system, on the infotainment screen click the Home button, then click on Settings, then click on Others and select Factory Data Reset, pick Yes from the pop up menu, then click on Yes again, then click OK. After this it will reboot the system. Hope that helps, thanks for watching and don't forget to hit that subscribe button!

There is a power on/off button on the top left of the infotainment unit. That should power it off. I would suggest taking it back to the dealer and have them fix it under warranty since that should not be happening. Thanks for watching!

The only other thing I can think off is to make sure the truck bed audio is off. To do that click on the truck bed audio icon on the infotainment screen and make sure the speakers are turned off. You can turn the infotainment screen of by using the buttons on the left and that will turn the screen off but they won’t shut it off. Basically it is always on. I would bring it to the dealer and have them fix it under warranty. It could very well be that the buzzing sound your hearing is coming from the engine. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

How to type in a channel number on the radio, instead of paging through many numbers.

  • @TwoGuysandaRide

Thanks for the question. I’ m not sure there is a way to do that. The owners manual does not mention that as a way to tune in stations. You could check under the “menu” button the left when the radio is showing on the screen. Perhaps there is something there that might allow you to manually tune. Thanks for watching!

@@Not2Blue Good thoughts, appreciated. The scan works, takes quite a while, and interrupts driving. Paging thru the many types of music, take time......especially if the number is higher like 311. Voice command should be the answer.....reluctantly. ANOTHER pet peeve of mine is needing to be parked to make radio changes........means I will continue to try things while driving to get the radio to perform.......MUCH more distracting while driving. 🤨🤨. Better just to let me make changes while driving.

Ok here is what I found. First of all press the source button of the left side of the steering wheel until you get to xm radio. Now it may or may not stay on your screen. If it disappears, try pressing the menu button just below the source button and see if any of the options that show up make xm stay on the screen. If that does not work, Honda says that not all items (and then does not list the items) will stay on your screen as some are meant to disappear after a bit. Hope that helps and thanks again for watching!
