2020 Harley Davidson Sportster: John Maxwell Edition
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
My favorite part of working for Harley Davidson is watching people get their dream bike. Sometimes it isn't part of someones plan to buy a bike. Sometimes you sell a bike to a guy from Hawaii for his son. Zayne's first bike. I can't thank Maxamillion enough for letting me be part of such a cool experience.

Kapolei, HI for 1 & 1/2-years...have put 12,000 miles on my 2007 Sportster 883R since moving here...LOVE riding this island!
Live on Oahu, the drives along the coasts are an amazing, the ocean is sky blue. Inland lush green tropical mountains.
Arizona!!! We got flat brown dessert, twisty tree lined mountain roads, the grand canyon, rivers, lakes, and hot or cold can be found most year round. Short ride from SoCal, Utah, Nevada etc... Southern Utah is a fantastic ride.
Sportsters rule and you know it, John! Ride on brothers! 🤘

Born and raised in Hawaii, currently ride a 2014 sportster forty eight. Its great the fastest legal speed limit you'll see is 60 mph, but it sucks if you're the type of person that likes to ramble and explore.
Really enjoyed this weeks video brother. It was great hearing the excitement in your voice. Congrats to Zane on his first Harley!
Oh John Maxwell always puts out the best videos, good job brother 💯
I live in deep S. Tx. We’ve got a little bit of everything in Tx. Very happy for the young man. Father son riding is awesome. My Son’s first at 19 was a 95’ Sporty that I put a 1250 Hammer kit in. He now also has an 09’ night train.
New to the channel. Appreciate all the info. I just bought an ‘03 100th anniversary screamin eagle deuce, my first Harley, so I’ve been watching to learn as much as I can!
Got my first bike (97 SuperGlide) in Hawaii when I was stationed on Schofield. Oahu is great place to ride. Get on Kamehameha Hwy 99 and ride the beautiful coast. And when you get hungry you can stop and get some chow at all the food trucks next to Sunset Beach in North Shore.
"John Maxwell Addition" Man that's the Harley I'd put my money into! No kidding John you could option-out, tune, paint and sign...

I’d trust John M. to work on my bike over anyone else for sure! I’m only 4,411 miles away from Chatahoochie GA... so, it could happen🤷🏼♂️ I hope I can find someone as talented and trustworthy as he is to work on my bike.

MAX OUT AND ABOUT!!!! Nice to see you back !
My favorite part of working at Harley was taking people out on test rides. The stories I have from that I will remember forever. The look on new buyers faces are priceless, especially first Harley Buyers. Great Video, Be Safe, Have Fun!
I started on KZ650 then a 76 Sportster in 1983, great bike. Created tons of memories on it while in the Navy. All over PA. Norfolk and the Florida Panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi and a bit of SouthEast Georga.
out here In southern California, you can have it all. scenic beach roads, technical curvy mountain roads, long straight desert mad max roads, farm roads, and we got lane splitting! no more traffic!
Sweet first bike and a lot of good memories headed that young man's way . East Tennessee here nothing but hills and curves and I love it . Good stuff brother. God Bless
Got a 2020 Iron 883 myself. I LOVE it!
"John Maxwell, Signature Series" !!! Now THERE'S a bike worth having ! I live in Kissimmee Florida. Same terrain as Georgia mostly.
WI, we have a little of everything. Nice curvy roads, and long flat straight roads. Both have hills as well.
I was watching before thinking nice riding the place the first time I watch John Maxwell .Then I saw a building I remembered I saw riding one of the big bikes I had. Then I realized he was in Columbus,Ga been watching him ever since. Thaught how nice it is to ride around Georgia and I just live 55 miles from Harley shop.
Washington and we have everything for riding. Great video this week, looked like a lot of fun.
Currently riding in the Republic of Korea. Very mountainous, lots of twisties, and great food everywhere. Probably my favorite place to ride. Hawaii can be a bummer for riding, Oahu at least. Lots of traffic everywhere and I always got rained on, usually between Kaneohe and Kahuku. Sportsters are great experienced rider or not. Great choice from a badass dad!
Born and raised East TX flat, green, and gulf coast. Live in NW AR now green but large hills and curvy roads. Love it!
I loved owning sportsters, best bike to run around in cities and short hauls. First one was a 1966, last one was an 86. If I had room in the garage I would own a 1200 sportster now.
Here in KY you have it all, mountains in the east, rolling hills central and flat/swamps in the west....

I do love that AMF paint schemes
North eastern PA here. Green everywhere, hills and plenty of twists. Beautiful rides.
plenty of hills and twistys here in Switzerland and now we're getting the sun and warmth to go with 'em 🌞
Southern Nevada. Lots of rocks and dirt. But, tons of open roads and small towns. Really enjoy your videos John.
North Carolina- great roads and scenery!
Washington state. Absolutely beautiful curvy roads and mountains. Also the Puget Sound and ferrys! Killer!
i live in hillsboro, mo and it is the best riding around here. i’ve been riding/ driving these roads for the past 3 years and i keep finding more, it’s twisty roads in the woods also well kept roads
NICE 18th birthday gift Zane. Really great dad too! First year riding is a dangerous one while learning skill set. Right or wrong, "cage" always wins. Ride to survive.
Live in PA and we have it all! Curves, mountains, scenery and close to Maryland where in 1:15hr you can be at the Ocean
Nothing beats California when it comes to terrain and weather. You can ride ALL YEAR long! We have bits of old Route 66, mountains, plains, and a ton of twisties. You can lane split in the city too.
My first Harley was a brand new 1988 sportster 883. I loved that bike.
I'm in PA. We have everything we need to get our minds in the right place. A nice ride in the country and all is well in the world once more. Lol 😁
Here in Scotland the country is greening up very nicely, we have beautiful countryside to ride, but alas we still have restrictions in place, the weather has been very dry and sunny for 9 weeks, but from 1/June some restrictions are being eased. So good to see and hear your vids thanks to you and Chattahoochee. Stay everyone.
Thanks for the video John.
Loving the short shots, wish I had got them for my bike.Maybe in the future !!
I was stationed in Hawaii from 2016-2019 and rode all year round. To be honest, aside from being absolutely beautiful, the roads aren’t great, same roads over and over again, and rain. I’m not complaining, I’d go back in a heartbeat, but I’d rather ride here in Colorado!

Hi John! Washington State is a great place to ride. All four seasons here come out and it’s a gorgeous place with many trees, mountains, rivers, and lakes. Stay cool 😎 and ride safe John!
Dude, b-roll editing was fantastic. Nicely done sir.
It’s here Brother. Thank you 🤙
North Georgia mountains. 👍. Great riding!
I live in Oklahoma and we have a little of everything! I want a Roadster. I like it he beat as well. When I worked at a dealership, I thought it’s was the most comfortable sporty for seat height.
I like the energy in this video 😀

Rt 101 is an amazing ride. But the mountains are the best
You definitely got me there in the beginning (and what you said here in the comments shows that was intentional 🤣). I was like "WTF HAPPENED?!" and kept wondering the whole video. The name-change reveal at the end caused a great sigh of relief. Lol great video as always!
Bassani Pro Streets sound amazing on my Sportster. Worth a listen. They look great too.
Nice work brother. That Iron 1200 is a sweet ride.
Live in Va. and when I was working in Alabama I came by the dealership when they first changed hands. A week later your videos started popping up, pretty funny. After a long story, alot of great roads to ride in Va.
My first bike was a 56 K Model. Great way to start riding.
In the very bottom of Florida, last city on the gulf side.. Naples. Very very flat and green. Rains every afternoon in the summer but I still ride to work everyday if it’s clear in the morning.. first Harley was a 1200 Nightster. Now I’m rocking the 06 Streetbob, and love it!
I went on vacation in Hawaii and rented a bike while I was there. There was one stretch of road that was real nice and twisty, with some elevation changes, but that was about it. I live in Seattle, and there are beautiful routes to be had around here, but the roads aren't always that great, and if it's the weekend, you're not the only one that had the idea of adventuring
I like the new name. Fort Benning is an institution!!!!! I wish you all nothing but success. I will visit the dealership once this pandemic is over. Ride and stay safe.
My first street bike was a TriGlide with an S&S cam kit. Badass.
Tennessee has great riding. Lots of green scenery, mountains, twisty roads and I’m in Chattanooga so we’re close to GA and NC. Plus the winters are usually mild enough that you can ride quite a bit!
Here in South Jersey. Lots of green and farmlands. Some great country riding.
Sportster for Life
Hey John, huge fan of your channel!. I live in Illinois and when some people hear about the midwest they think about boring farmland riding but for all of us riders out here if you're going anywhere on two wheels who cares where you're from or where you're going: just keep on rolling. Me and my friends call ourselves the Prison City "in-laws" because were all about following the rules and we're huge dorks.
First bike was a 48. Plenty fast here on these Mississippi country roads. Love the channel.
bought my 16 Street Glide in Hawaii. No better weather to ride in! Shipped it back to Virginia. Takes longer to ship it across the states than it does across the Pacific from Cali to Honolulu! 🤙
We plan on hitting Hawaii sometime in the future. I bought my wife a sporster last May (48 special, swapped out stock 7.9ltr tank for 17ltr tank) and she loved it as her first bike. January this year, traded it in for a 19 Heritage 114. She loves it to death and is totally happy that she got the sporster first. Cheers John 😎😎😎
I live in Southern Michigan. We can ride from mid March until about mid October. Riding during the day is awesome. We have a lot of cornfields and lots of critters. Our whitetail deer are massive and move a lot at night. So I kind of stay away from night riding. Love the channel brother.
Piedmont area of SC. Head up into them hills and the riding is gorgeous!!
I live in Maine and we have just about anything from flat to curb roads, mountains, and very nice open areas that you can look for miles
So, I don’t wanna get sentimental but I think your video are seriously cool dude. You kind of helped sell me on becoming a technician and I’ll be starting up classes as soon as I’m able. So at some point I figured I should thank you for that. Ride safe bro.
Currently stationed in Oahu and ride a 2018 Heritage 107 and ride the island all the time, but t is one of the most breathe taking rides on the west and east side. And there is several roads that you can ride that have some twisties that are a blast to ride. And it’s a whole different biker mindset than on the mainland.
I'm in Colorado it's amazing to ride because of all the mountain passes its beautiful
I live in Colorado and we are green in the spring then go to brown in June as the moisture stops. But the rockies make for some great rides!
Vancouver, Washington. Super green and nice riding. Less than 10 min from Portland, Oregon. The summer riding is hard to beat here!
Fun video. Thank you. I live in Meade County, SD. The county seat is a little town called Sturgis. The riding is a mixture of mountains with twisties and open plains.
I'm in western CO, so mountains, high desert and great riding.
ole fort benning.. I was stationed there in the early 90"s.. i am in Alaska, lots of mountain roads and scenic ocean roads..
My first Harley was 1200R, great bike.
My previous Harley was a 2009 883 iron, all Matt black, and I put Vance and Hines shortshots on it, they were LOUD! But it was a great starter bike as you say John. Big difference between it and my 2018 114 Fat Boy.
Aloha from the Island of Maui John, you will love riding over here. No winterizing the bike here !!!!!!!!
Loved my 07 custom sportster , Michigan has a great shoreline drive on the east side of the state starting in port Huron goin north
just moved to south central WI, just north of Madison. Originally from the WI/IL border. Rolling hills, valley farmlands, and forests on hills. Seriously the coolest place I have ridden since i started riding in 2016. perfect bike for it too (in my opinion), 2012 XL883L Sportster Superlow
John...I just did 3700 miles in 6 days on my Road Glide... out to Zion National and back. And while there is some amazing riding and beauty out west there is our own unique beauty here in the east. I live in Nashville and I could not wait to get back into the gorgeous Southeast US!!
My first Harley I bought was a 2017 Roadster and I installed the cafe bars and yes the Vance and Hines short shots. Love everything about the bike. My back on the other hand is not a fan lol. I am looking at trying to get a Road King Special and do a fat tire kit. Love the look. I do my own motovlog with the Roadster here in Virginia now. The roads here are amazing. We can hit the mountain back roads, city roads , and ride next to the water all in one day.
Live in West Tennessee and have great riding roads right out our door. Also can be in East Tennessee/Western North Carolina(think Dragon, Moonshiner 28, Cherohala Skyway). Not to even mention all the great roads in Arkansas.
Upstate NY. Hills, curves and mountains. Green spring and summer. Pretty leaves in the fall. Cold and snow in the winter.
I am in PA - green and curvy. My wife and I went to Hawaii Oahu - waikiki beach - was all touristy - rented a hertiage - one of the best days of my life. Funny part was after 7 hours of riding my wife couldn't handle the sun or heat any longer - I was in traffic and she said I am getting off now! Looked like we were fighting and the looks I got :( Highly recommend going!
Western Washington has everything for a great adventure. Multiple mountains with streams to follow to the top. Curves through densely forested roads or if that is not what you want you can ride eastward over any number of mountain passes to find roads in the desert. Also, you can head west and take a coastal highway and cruise along the pacific ocean with a cool salty breeze in your face.
I live in Apple valley California. It’s the desert. But it’s 40 min from the mountains and a little over and hour from Newport Beach and Huntington Beach. So I love the riding here where I’m at.
1st sporty I ever rode was a 1972...got me hooked !!
I had to break the "666" number of thumbs up! Michigan...flat in the south eastern and central portions, sandy in the western...hilly in the central Lower Peninsula heading north, then bigger hills and forest in the Upper Peninsula. We have some towns with "Mount" or "Mountain" in them; Mount Clemens was named as a joke because it was a dry spot in a swamp, and we have Iron Mountain up in God's Country. We are green in the Spring, faded to near brown in the Summer, flashy colors in the Fall, and white in the Winter. The coasts have some great riding as well as roads that follow rivers. All in all, gorgeous in every season up here.
Hey John, Dude you rock. Just read a comment feed on Moto Sarge channel. Them stickers given by you through Sarge says alot.
Maui born here; Road to Hana ride has all the green curves, twists and turns you need. Water falls and swimming holes on nearly every turn.
I live in Virginia and we have a little bit of everything here to ride! My wife's first bike is that same Sportster and she got it 2 weeks ago! My first bike was bought last year and I have a 2018 Breakout M8 107ci.
Northern Califonia- lots of sunshine, rolling hills, curvy roads, and where I live almost all roads are only 2 lanes.
Sweet video, John...I live in the beautiful state of Nevada, and we have a pretty good mix of long, highway riding and some nice canyon twisties. Thanks for the video, man!

I live in Vegas. All we have is Lake Mead or Mt. Charleston.
I'm from the Show Me state, Missouri. We get all the seasons. Up north is fairly flat, as is the boot heel area. The rest of the state is very hilly, being part of the St. Francois mountain range. Awesome riding through the central and southern part of the state.
I live in southeast Ohio, little bit of everything. There is some flat, some curvy roads, some mountains. Overall good riding
Live in Idaho, we have the best of everything. Mountains, wide open flats, highways and byways!
