Even though I cheered for Maru, it was literally one of the most amazing series I have ever seen. Just WOW. The reason I say this is that series was full of GODLY micro, multitask and amazing mind games

It might actually be the best game of sc2 i ever watched.Awesome.

Hell yeah! What a series!

Those tanks that were caught out of position killed an Archon, with the loss of one tank. That was actually wonderful for Maru, who was already ahead.

Top notch play man. GG

These games felt like watching two ninjas fight to the death while falling out an airplane.

Game 3 by stats was a PvT masterclass

It feels so weird seeing them talk about Parting struggling with taking early damage - not that they are wrong, but I came back from a long break to watching sc2 recently, and when I left I remember parting doing insane holds on all sorts of early pressure/cheeses. It was a part of what made me such a fan of his! I remember some kind of 10pool or something from Life that he held off without a wall, god it was amazing. I really want to still love parting and he definitely has had some amazing games, that game2 against Maru in this ro.16 obviously but also his match against innovation last season was sweet. I have to say though that sometimes it feels like his control isn't quite the same as it used to be? He was the best protoss in the world at unit control when I last was watching, now I am not sure.

When Maru picked up his tanks at around 41:30, I was thinking "How cool would it be if he boosted to the high ground, dropped them and sieged up, all while kiting stats army with his bio - but that would be just impossible". Then he fucking did it! Fourth race indeed.

Yep rushing high Templar and then hiding them in a corner baiting forward a raven to feedback just so you can continue playing the game is so simple

I really hate Terran, every stim makes me sad.

disruptors break this matchup so badly. You can't do anything against them unless the protoss makes a blatant mistake like suicide them into the terran army. Protoss have the better army and better economy in all stages of the game against terran right now, except for the raven + 2 tank push timing

It's the same with blink dts being so busted late game in PvT. Terran can't do the same with ghosts due to Protoss having static defence ground attacking detectors (photon cannons) and invisible cheap perma detection with observers. Also dts do way too much damage to structures.

Yeah i remember the same whine about storm until you got your emp the size of the sun that virtually made storming impossible, now its disruptors.How about liberators and more tanks?Better economy at all stages riight, specially when terran gets multiple orbitals with mules raining... And lets not forget the emps with the upgrade that takes 40 % of Protoss army hp off...And you cant dodge that like you can split agaisnt disruptores. Dts are ultra expensive. I think i have seen as much game being won thanks to them as lost, becasue if your blink on top of the planetary doesnt kill it , you loose them and you are down like ~2000 resources. And dts are the only answer of Protoss to planetaries, otherwise you just cant do anything against that ultra defense. Photon cannons dont even compare with the cost of 150 minerals per one.

@@firestarter000001 Libs and tanks don't work vs spit dt harass unless you plan to leave half your army defending multiple expansions and production the entire game after dts come into play. Additionally, with blink, they just leave instantly even if you have a good defence set up xD Even assuming that the Terran player is fortunate enough to have detection and doesnt instantly lose whatever defence they have. Also, the reason emp was buffed is because it was necessary (or it wouldnt have been done). ALSO its very feasible to storm, its called actually having to not a-move with your army and split off templar, something that 99% of Protoss are unable to even consider; so I can see why it might seem "impossible". The other obvious 'solution' (and what is being done in many games) is just keeping 4 templar in a prism and playing carefully with the others.
