ABOUT PAPADAKIS RACING:
The Papadakis Racing team began drifting in 2004 and is the most winning team in Formula Drift history, earning the 2015 title with driver Fredric Aasbo, as well as backto back championship titles with driver Tanner Foust in 2007 and 2008. The Rockstar Energy Drink / Nexen Tire Toyota Corolla Hatchback is the latest competition build from the Hawthorne, California, based team.
Team owner Stephan Papadakis is a legend of sport compact racing who began building his reputation in the 1990s with the first front-wheel drive, tube-chassis drag car in the U.S. The team earned multiple records and championships in the discipline, turning in elapsed times and trap speeds previously thought unattainable in front-drive drag cars. Papadakis' successes in front-wheel drive were matched by his efforts in rear-wheel drive when he campaigned a Honda Civic that became just the fifth car to join the NHRA's Sport Compact 200 MPH club

Man you're amazingly talented. It's one thing to drive close to another car under normal circumstances, but while sideways?? That's another level. I think you were the perfect pairing for this car.

Papadakis is one of the best currently active racing engineers in the business. With Aasbo's incredible driving they're basically like Mercedes and Hamilton in F1. Great job guys!

I'm amazed that the car did so well on its debut. Usually it takes a bit of time to work out kinks in a new chassis but that just goes to show how well the team is run and how well prepared they are. Great job!

I think that had a win also when the first debuted the corolla after using the Scion Tc for years. They way they can swap parts / engines so quickly is amazing

I was about to say your videos are too short and then I realised that it was 7. 36 minutes long, testament to the quality of material you provide, a real car person no crap, pure gold, full content one of the best out there. Nice to see the B58 kicking JDM arse out there, awesome vehicle

Not only is the car amazing... the video is rad. You guys explain everything nicely and feels like I’ve had a quick master class on drift events :D
Great work guys enjoyed the series. What's the possibility of getting a series on a budget drift car, i know there has been a couple other channels that has done it. But a build with Papadakis insight and expertise on a budget that should be possible to chase by mortals like us . The bare minimum needed to get going
This is not a easy sport... From building the car to drifting the car... Mad respect to the team for their dedication towards this sports... This is truly amazing
Your attention to detail and precision are incredible. It's no wonder your team took the win. Congratulations 🎉
THIS is what October needed. Some Papadakis content.
Fredric is very talented! But you are the real winner! that car is very nicely built and is amazing how much you can control on it from suspension to ecu. Absolutely beautiful.
I love how you can hear Larry Chen at the end.
Tears came to my eyes everytime i see an old supra. What a beautiful machine.
Literally one of the coolest video series I've ever watched on youtube.
Brother this build looks like old Days of Thunder...thx so much for showing like this!
Love this channel! Very detailed and thorough narration of the video. You’re the best Steph!
Greeks, when they want they can be the best! Greek power!!! Bravo papadakis great job!
I watched all the episodes from building the 1K HP engine to stripping the Supra and winning the first event. Loved it. The attention to detail, the cleanliness of the build, the information provided have been fantastic. Hats off to all of you. As a BMW enthusiast, I was a little sad when you guys cut the factory harnesses but even the sadness turned into admiration after watching all the "Season". Please continue with the excellent work!
Thank you for including that raw clip at the end. We all wanted to hear that baby scream!
Such an awesome build! Well deserve the win! Congratulations! All your videos does not bore me at all no matter how lengthy they are. So very informative, amazing!
I've watched this build since day 1. Ive watched the events its been as well. Its kinda like my first full youtube experience from start to finish and then actually seeing at events. Absolutely amazing work Papadakis Racing truly truly awesome!!!
I got to see the race when your two cars went hear to head...WOW what a team... When you didn't post videos I had to find another way to see how the car was doing.... What a fantastic season, well done ALLL...👍👍👍👍
Can we all agree papadakis is an ACTUAL LEGEND. Literally should be put in the hall of fame. We shall protect this man at all cost!!! Good driving and good teammates I love you guys
We need MORE Papadakis racing content!!!! Absolutely A1

He is helping pave the way for that. The fact he got 1,000hp from the B58 is already amazing given that the aftermarket support for the car is still pretty new.
That eye-roll and smirk when you said "a stiffer bar" :) It's almost like it was planned :) Loved this build series; congrats on the maiden win!
I hope more teams do this, I love technical deep-dives like those you do here
Glad to see this thing being competitive on track! Anyway the fact that last time engine failure on fd Seattle came from intake manifold really tell me that the b58 is more reliable than i expected.

PapadakisRacing is the mad scientist of the racing world and it is so awesome to get such indepth looks into the builds. Most people would hold this information close to the chest for fear of others taking your work. Thanks for the INCREDIBLE content that you guys are uploading. It is going to be a good year for Papadakis Racing in FD.
He’s back! Love your videos.
Congratulations guys. Any win is a good one, but first time out with a new car..extra special, well done. Great preparation.
Papadakis doesnt care that the new Supra has mostly BMW parts, Papadakis only sees its potential, Be like Papadakis, a real car guy. Hats off to you guys!
Another great Video Stephen! Congratulations To Papadakis Racing and entire Crew!!!! The fact that you went against you team mate hows what a great success story Papadakis racing really is and is a testament to you skill in building great cars, Having two fantastic drivers and The fact that you can take two new vehicles and using your skill as a great engine builder and create two winning machines. Loved watching the entire Toyota build series and especially the the creation of the intake manifold from start finish You skill as as engine builder is beyond almost anything I could create. Looking forward to se what you do next with the rumored 3JZ that may be comiming out in the next few years.

I love the car and the names on that championship bracket. Awesome and well done all around! 👏
I just want to leave a comment, that this is by far the best motoring channel on KZread. Please stay with us for a while and also best of luck for the remaining FD events
I always love papadakis videos. He is not only organized building an engine, he is organized on everything he does! His videos are almost like a class.
