Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2020 Ford Mustang EcoBoost High Performance Package may be a mouthful to say, but this $4,995 option brings the goods to make the base four-cylinder model an excellent handling machine. We talk to Ford Performance chief Carl Widmann and vehicle dynamics engineer Mike Del Zio about what went into the development of the Mustang HPP.

It's dope to see a lot more people having changed their minds on them though as time goes on.

  • @shitloveaduck

    @shitloveaduck

    4 жыл бұрын

    Joel Remland - you forget, if you add the same options to the V8 Mustang, it is significantly more expensive. This specific model they are speaking about is not the everyday EcoBoost 4. They are using specially created engine blocks with much more ability to handle extra tuning. Also, mid 4 seconds for 0-60 is FAST! I really bet my manual shifting GT 350 is not any faster than the automatic EcoBoost with me driving the manual. The absolute fastest times in each version of the Mustang that has an automatic transmission are produced WITH the automatics. They are more efficient and faster shifting than any human with a manual can be. The GT500 can only be had with a dual clutch 7 speed. I hear it often that people say if you put enough options on the EcoBoost it gets into the territory of the V8. The base GT is basic, next to nothing. There is not an equal comparison. Then, if you are so inclined, you can tune the 2.3 for way more horsepower with a lighter and better handling car than the GT. I have said elsewhere, I am getting an automatic EcoBoost Mustang with the full performance package and it will be parking right beside my 2019 GT350.

    @Mike P Cute. There's another KZreadr, StreetLegal...something or other, and he was talking about this. He said that the way they built this block, I can picture it, but I don't know what it's called...it's where the cylinder walls don't just have cooling holes behind them, but there are cylinder walls are almost "floating" in space w/ very little reinforcement behind them. It's a technique to give a block greater cooling but it isn't very rigid, and a high-RPM, boasted engine NEEDS to be rigid.

This is the Mustang I want, $7k above base price for the spec I want sounds like a bargain for what you get. What I want to know though: Is this hpp model only being released for the 2020 year? They make it seem like it's a limited 1 year run by the chasis number and when they talk about how it's a limited production... Is this a new permanent package/trim to the ecoboost lineup? or is this a 1 year limited production run as of right now?
