    I just got this vehicle and I love it! I absolutely love the remote start from the Ford app but I don’t have remote start on the key fob though. When it’s hot I can start my car and it cools off before I get in. Absolutely awesome!

    I just gotten a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I had a 2015 Ford Escape SE but, it did broke down just after going uphill. Luckily that I drove on the shoulder to get out of the way. It was a hour to wait for the tow truck. I waited to see what I should do for a vehicle to drive home. I picked the 2020 one over 2019 White Ford Escape. I don’t want the white one because it is almost the same. When I drove my old one that I have the seat low and the steering wheel up high and close. I loved the touch screen on the 2020. To me is liked playing with my iPhone. I figured out the Apple Car Play and the satellite radio on my own. I even played with the buttons a little bit.

    Such a big difference between the 2019 and previous and then the revamped 2020 model! Glad that you're enjoying yours and have been able to figure some things out. Enjoy the new ride :)

    Hey Steve! I'm a retired senior citizen who bought a 2021 Escape about 3 weeks ago. Your video for that vehicle was phenomenal! I review that clip every other day...how is a 64-year-old supposed to keep up with all this technology! Although you're a little speedy, at least I know how to operate rewind and pause! Then I saw this video because these two cars are pretty identical. I am a big guy...over 6 ft...and I find the driver's seat extremely roomy and comfy. The technology is amazing...I love all the hands-free options. The only thing I don't like about my 2021 model is the jerky transmission. It's a bit annoying, but I like everything else so much it doesn't matter. Plus I'm a kind of a lead foot. Thanks again, 'cause I'll still be watching these videos for the next few months! BTW, I don't think you mentioned the "raindrop detecting windshield!" LOL!!

    Hey David, so glad that the video helped you learn about your Escape. If you try slowing the playback speed down to 0.75x it may help. I've had some coaching on speaking slower so my newer videos over the next few weeks should be a bit easier! Appreciate you sharing your feedback on your experience so far. Try putting your Escape into Sport mode - it may help with the transmission jerkiness. Hah great catch on the raindrop detecting wipers - I briefly mention the stick but don't dive into that specific feature. Hope the new car treats you well

    @@CarsWithSteve Ok...so I've driven quite a few times since your response. I found using Sport mode gave me a little bit too much "UMPH" on a regular basis. It does work GREAT when I'm managing the expressways. I have been using Mobile Premium lately and I have noticed less jerkiness. It also may be that I've been working on my lead foot and being less heavy when giving it the gas. Really enjoy the videos none-the-less!!

    @@DavidBrantford Thanks for the great feedback and glad you were able to try out the Sport mode. The premium fuel performance gains make sense. Turbo engines love the 89/91 fuels. Think you'll end up using premium fuel more often now that you've seen an improvement?

    Thank you for your excellent video. I have a 2020 Escape SE. My question: When I turned off the engine and stay on my seat without opening the driver's door, my wife was unable to open the liftgate with the outside control button. The liftgate will only unlock after I open the driver's side door. Shouldn't the liftgate auto unlock when the engine is turned off, just like the other passenger doors? Is there a "hidden" button to open the liftgate from inside the car?

  • @CarsWithSteve

    @CarsWithSteve

    3 жыл бұрын

    Appreciate that Domingo! The 2020 Escape SE has a manual liftgate so there wouldn't be a release switch on the inside of the vehicle unfortunately. When she tries to open the liftgate have you unlocked the doors as well? Opening the passenger door wouldn't unlock doors whereas the driver door opening would trigger an unlock

    @@CarsWithSteve Thank you for your response. The scenario was I parked and turned off the engine. I stayed inside the car with my driver side door unopened. My wife and the rear passengers can open their doors to exit. However, when my wife tried to open the liftgate, it will not open. The liftgate will only unlock after I press the unlock door button or open my driver side door to trigger the unlock. Conclusion: The 3 passenger doors do automatically unlock after the car is parked, but the liftgate stay locked until an activation to unlock it.

    Surprised that you may need to use coolant already! 3 жыл бұрын

    Depends on what year you're thinking of! The early 2000's models.. yup. The 2020? I'd say they're fairly close to handling the same. A rougher ride could come down to improperly filled tires, rough road, car still in transport mode or maybe even an alignment issue. Although I know someone who test drove one and didn't know about the lane keeping system 😂 the steering wheel shakes (you can turn this off) when you veer into a lane without signaling and he thought he was riding rumble pavement for half the ride
