What a great video! Love the way you prep your tools and lay out the removed parts. I try a bit of DIY mechanics myself but always have a few bits left over 😬 I don't through them away, I keep them safe in a box 😳 Hope my local dealer takes as much care as you do. My motorcyle shop takes between five and six hours to put the exhaust on, but what a sound comes from the akrapovic full system, thats how the v4 streetfighter realy should sound!! 🔥🔥🔊🔊🔊

It looks so complicated, how long does it takes? 10hours means 2 days (reference to my XdiavelS and termignoni) ...well done indeed.

I suggest taping a piece of cardboard over the back of the radiator before removing the header nuts. It's so easy in tight jobs like that to smack it with a wrench and mess up the fins or worse (you can see at 3:51 how many times it happened during this job)

Not for what it is and what it does, that engine was designed for that race exhaust, EPA rules messed it up

APRIL THE TORTIE CAT You mean those garbage, white label piece of shts made in Taiwan? OEM provides “Ohlins” is nearly as terrible as the Sachs or Marzocci. It’s not the same as what you’d get if you’d ordered an aftermarket kit.

Installing the exhaust without stripping the bike for sure gives you the qualification of gynecologist

Polish what? I ceramic coated the carbon fiber heat shields but not the pipes,gets too hot

221 hp in a naked sport bike? That’s insane!

So annoying, right??? I would have bought new exhausts for my V4R, but if I get caught it will cost me a few thousands (USD2000-3000) in fines plus a drivers license 😞

Yup, my Tuono has an akrapovic, i know its recommended Race use only, but im pretty much banned from alot of places, soon te be more im afraid

10hr for an exhaust

Ya know, at first I commented, criticizing the fact that they were moving too fast and that the owner should have done it himself. But after watchign the freakin' teardown of the whole bike I'm thinking that makes more sense. That's ridiculous lol.

Sounds like a real v4 now 😂 also wipe your finger prints down with wd40 otherwise it marks the titanium. Still think carbon wheels would be better then a full system for weight n performance

He cleaned the entire exhaust after install + the bike received a detail after all the work was done.

He was touching the exhaust pipe with his naked hand!!!! It change the colour of the pipe . I see experts uses gloves for fitting exhaust pipes for this reason.

great video.man that bike is sexy as hell.that exhaust system sounds sweet.everything about that bike screams italian beauty,expensive,exotic.then at the very end of the video it shows the fat guy speeding away on it.only a fat guy can make a bike like that look so uncool.haha

My 1198S came with a Termignoni muffler included and so easy to exchange!!!

what a pain in the ass to install, also that akra seems a little too loud

still too quiet for my liking.... and 10hrs labour to replace wow.

Exhaust won’t add 20 hp those are just said numbers unless ya tune... but Ducati engineers smoke a lot of crack to keep spewing the same exact bike every year

Ducati loves to give the dealers some extra work... nice bike, nice design, but so impractical to work on. It's over-engineered.

What a nightmare. This is high mantainence design ala Ducati.

Just by watching this video you are not going to do this in your garage on the floor with normal hand tools.

What a pain in the dick...Ducati would be better off to just offer that as an option from the factory. Not all but a lot of rich guys would just fork over the extra 4K for a full titanium exhaust with a race map
