You are so gifted and creative, i've just subscribed this a great idea. Rather then get rid of my vintage vanity mirror tray, I thought i'd try to upgrade it to look more modern and glammed up for my master bedroom. You know the ones people use to buy all the time, especially like 30 years ago, lol, that were i believe under $40, that had a mirror base but the rim around it was like brass or gold painted. It's like a tray to display your perfume bottles on your dresser. Anyways, I initially thought of just spray painting the gold to a metallic silver but now that i've seen this idea, I'm thinking maybe i should just remove the existing trim, and put the door knobs to glue underneath it an bling out the side of the mirror and the top. So thank you for posting your beautiful ideas. You've encouraged me to try something totally different with it.
