This is literally so helpful thank you. Pretty much saves you from having to read the instruction manual first chapter! I just bought one of these and wanted to get to grips with the basics, this was perfect.

Kelsey, this is an incredibly professional car introduction combined with a very sympathic appearance (especially the voice, it’s easy to follow). You own my full respect! I am very thankful to get all the insights since you can’t get some of these information anywhere else at the moment (even when you’re in Germany and closer to BMW corporate like me). I can only advise to continue doing these kind of videos; great job!

Kelsey, thanks for feed back. You do a great job on a overview of the car. I have had my new car a week tomorrow and still have not had a BMW genius contact use, I call every day to get appointment. I got the 30 mile number from a video of the BMW factory in Germany . As per your answer about increase in mileage on battery distance makes me a little happier. Also I just assumed the battery would charge while driving, not just braking.

Sorry to hear that! Sometimes its easier to show up and ask to schedule an appointment or reach out to your sales person (at least at mine). It wouldn't really make sense for the battery to charge at the same time you're using it but coasting and regenerative breaking do give you a little boost until your next charge

Hello Kelsey, best x3 30e review so far I have seen. My x3 xdrive30e was ordered in November and the delivery date is foreseen 22 May ... I really hope it can be delivered earlier ... I can hardly wait .... my first BMW ever.

There's no final report on electric mileage on this HYBRID vehicle- which is why i didn't mention it.

Excellent info I am also a genius In my local area and we haven’t received ours yet, so now I’m well informed!

Tom thanks! We don’t have exact data but it should be around +20km on all electric. It’s meant to be used in conjunction with the gas engine

Excellent review and could be my next X3. I was always hesitant about hybrids. Might have missed your comment, but what is the Gas Fuel Tank size and distance it can driven before needing to refuel? Can you switch from electric to gas while driving?

You can switch from gas to electric at any time, though they are meant to be used in conjunction with eachother

X3 30e very good

Hi Kelsey, thank you for the virtual tour of the X3 PHEV. Do you happen to know the difference between the trunk space in the X3 30e and 30i ??? I noticed the elevated trunk floor in the 30e and was curious what interior height difference is(distance from floor to ceiling)? Thank you, have a nice day!

Two questions, this X.3 only gets 12 miles of electric range? That’s ridiculous, I would be OK with 20 but not 12. Also I noticed the sticker said it has three years of BMW maintenance I don’t know what state you are in but agents in California have told me that BMW got rid of this two years ago and that they stopped giving free maintenance, were they wrong?

I'm not sure where you got 12 but no. It starts out at a lower range and increases with regular charging cycles. Owners who purchased in the spring report mileage of up to 28 per charge. If BMW got rid of it years ago it wouldn't still be advertised. You can find more information about it at bmwusa.com/mpdisclaimer

Amado Martinez Android Auto was reported you be coming out sometime this summer but we haven’t heard anything else about it

Its 2020, Mitsubishi Outlander phev came in 2014 with a 12 kwh and quick charge point as well. These famous brands using old technology trying to lure customers. Im happy with my Outlander. If I ever get another PHEV it needs to have at least 24kwh battery at least. I do 23 to 26 miles now in winter with 8.4kww top up charge to full ( since it never goes fully depleted). It also runs on electric only till 70mph or so.

You are more beautiful than a BMW

2nd X-3 sport, 1st e-vehicle. Love love the vehicle, the range of 17 miles in electric mode is a joke. X-5 has a range 30 miles.

It's a HYBRID vehicle so it's not intended to have a long electric range. x5 does not have a range of 30, I'm not sure where you got that information because that vehicle isn't currently in production. There is no final report of electric range on the x3 30e, which is why i didn't mention it, because it's programmed to increase after the first initial charges/drives
