I bought a new K1600GT 6 years ago. I am wondering if I go into a new R1250 RT will I be disappointed? I have been riding BMW for the past 35 years.

That whats great about BMW, we have a R1250RT you can test ride and find out what you think firsthand. I prefer the R1250RT because of the lighter weight but the rides I went on with it weren't too long. The K1600 is an awesome bike for long distances and rides great for it's size.

Love this bike and color. Would it be too powerful for a first bike?

No... the power is not the issue... The issue for a first rider would be the weight. But it's pretty low down. Test ride one. I've had mine for about a year and Love it!!!

They are great bikes and have a ton of safety features to top of the great ride. Like Mike mentioned the weight would be something you might notice being newer, but they are balanced really well. Come take one for a test ride and see what you think.

How is stock ride height for someone who is 5'8"?

The RT isn't too bad, you should come in and sit on one. BMW offers options for a low seat which could help if the stock is too tall.

Visually properly but same engine in her. Its a 1200cc engine or the 1250, no changes there only looks

They increased the power plant to 1250 and got about 10hp more, but it's very similar to the 2018 body and cockpit wise. The new engine makes a great bike even better!

@@eurocycles8052 sorry mate, but that was 2018 to 2019. The 2020 model is the same as 2019, as far as I can tell, the single difference is the 2020 model has the SOS system as standard. I know, since my post I have ordered one.

No TFT? Dang. Still a fantastic bike.

I feel the same way. This bike's redesign should be within sight so hopefully we'll here something soon for the RT and also the GTL

2020??? I doubt it! The 2020's aren't even out yet!!!
