I’ve installed this in a 2016 F11. It works perfectly apart from the front PDC that isn’t activated upon approaching near objects. Once the rear gear is selected, the camera comes on and all PDC sensors around the car seem to be activated. Similarly, if the PDC button near the drive modus button is selected, the front PDC is activated as well. Front, Rear PDC and camera are all stock OEM. Anyone who knows if I can change a setting so that the front PDC gets activated in te he retrofit CarPlay once approaching a near object?

Good video but very shaky.. A lil camera stability would have made this video awesome and easy view

I have one more question, on original radio when i choose reverse gear i have graphics with parking sensor, now i have only sound, i see that i have reverse cable in android head unit can i to combine whit my gear to get the same result? If yes - where can i find cable?

If your car is OEM camera, then it need to choose “ OEM camera “ in the settings;

The screen seems to be very reflective. It looks like a mirror. Do you have this item without being reflective and more brightness?

I have issues with the sound. When the finer optics is swapped over to the new connector the sound from the android head unit doesn’t work but when I put it back in the original position the sound works but then the iDrive service history doesn’t appear. What’s the solution?

In the back of original display, it have two connectors, one is video connector, you just need to connect that cable to the back of android screen, then will be fine , the other connector just leave it alone, don’t connect it ( since the android screen have its own connection) .

The AUX is just optional connection for BMW NBT model, NBT car types can also switch the audio by "Internal", meaning the AUX can switch through power harness (instead of AUX cable), but if for the CIC car type, then normally have to connect AUX cable.

Android sound from original Aux input, so you can use the DSP.

@@pempcar u are indeed correct. Tho all who buy this unit. Make sure u have the right software update for dsp to be working. I've rechecked my wiring like 3 times. While the problem was the software. So when u got this unit with sound but no dsp working. It's the software. Ask for a software update. Then it works perfectly
