So I had to rewatch because I felt like you intended to take the Inside Line at 2:12. Not for a real defensive reason either, I think it was to make sure you didn't get surprised if you lost track of the P3 Blue rider. I may be wrong with this read Messed up in the jumps (I think). Okay, the leader is gone, where's P3? Is it the blue guy? Right Hand U-Turn confirms it. Went straight to the inside line on the long left. But why? My first thought was "It's a cruising line". My second was "What if 3rd somehow caught up?". So by taking the inside away there was no divebomb or caught off gaurd, not that you couldn't use the U-Turns to check anyway. But the amount of Revving & Power needed to pass on the outside would give a loud "HEY! HE'S COMING!" that would've been the alarm to go from "Cruise Control" to straight up "Attack to Defend" Maybe I'm over reading it. But the mindset + action I think is what happened. Anyways, I'm gonna go watch a few more of your videos and analyze those too.

I put it in cruise control at that point. I didn’t have the stamina to run that pace the whole race and I had a huge gap over 3rd so I just cruised around.
