I bought an RS back in May and I truly adore it. I went in to possibly buy a CBR650R but came away putting a deposit down on the RS, and really loved the CBR650R so I thought. Glad to hear you had fun on it. My fuel gauge mostly updates within a quarter mile or so, but sometimes it's on right when you switch on after a fill up. That induction noise is just addictive, it's a fantastic sound and I love jumping car drivers on overtakes... sshhh :)

Good to hear you bought the RS. The RS sound impressed me a lot when I test rode it and I am saving my money to get one in the future. The way RS deliver the power is what I would prefer much much more than the mt-09 which pull instantly(which is really good to a naked bike). I am so excited now that triumph is going to unveil the new 2020 model in october! Hopefully it come with two way quickshifter!

@@boylittle2613 Yeah the power is delivered in a nice way. I've only been riding since 2015 so it's nice to have this sports bike that doesn't always want to rip your arms off the bars, straight away. As Dan said though, it gets scary around the 8k RPM range, the way it pulls still at 80mph is startling. The RS comes with a up and down quickshifter, not sure the rest of the range does. For me the bike is a keeper, it's almost perfect for me.

Hey Dan. I like your videos keep em coming. I was almost sold on the cb650r but now I’m now stuck again after an option came up which is the 765s. In Malaysia where I love options are limited and prices are weird due to the tax structure. The price difference between the two here is around £1,300. My question is how far apart is the cb650 compared to the 765s? The CB comes with high end showa forks, radial brakes and screen whereas the 765s only has axial brakes, etc but that engine is the key. Would be great if you can let me know whether it’s worth it to save up a little more for the power and oh yea. How much better does the 765s handle?

I'm in love with this bike and I might have gotten one in stead of my 650R but I always buy local and the closest Triumph dealer is 3 hours away, not to mention. The dealer has a really bad reputation. @EnglishBikerDan I need some help or advice, I'm planing a trip. It will be around 3600 KM round with a little time on a ferry. The 650R isn't the most comfy for long rides, outside the oblivious need for saddle bags and such. You think rising the handle bars might help? Great Video!

I had a ride of one of these when my Speed Twin was in for its first service. I thought my Speed Twin was quick, well it has more grunt at lower revs, but when this gets into its power band the 765 RS is frighteningly quick. The power kick above 7000 rpm is ARRRRGGGH ! I do love the triple, and I wanted one. Maybe I've been silly, I've now also got myself a second hand A2 Street Triple S, and had it derestricted to 94 BHP. Not as quick as this, and the brakes aren't quite as good, but its more than quick enough for me, and it was a lot cheaper and easier to insure. I think could lose my licence on one of these. Also, why don't Triumph make the 765 RS in red ? The colours are just too camouflaged for me. The 2020 765 RS is now not even available in white. The Street Triple S is available in red. I want to be seen.

Luckily I don't believe in fairy tales. :) Hornets are fairly old and heavy by today's standards but you can still have fun on them!

I've owned this bike. Its a nice bike but you have to rev the crap out of it to get power and its a bit buzzy certainly compared to the prior 675 motors which were fantastic (especially the daytona 675 motors). If you want an upright R6 this could be your bike.
