    You know something Kirk, I am getting so use to the way my S.Q. TR5 washes and how everything comes out clean with much less lint on things that I don't know if I could go back to this way of washing??? I have the set for 1 year now and have to admit that I was a little leary about buying them, But after using them for a while I noticed that my clothes especially my towels smelled much more cleaner and had a lot less lint on them then when I washed them in my 2017 S.Q. that I had!!!

    @@Smurdle450 I think the key with the new SQ designs is load. I am considering the new SQ TR series which I think does a good job if you understand how to load that washer. I agree with Kirk as per with sheets. Regardless of the make of top loader you need to fill the tub with water, then push the sheets down to get as much air out and not not to overload the tub with any machine regardless. The only washer I think one can get around that process is the Commercial Maytag. Still thinking the Commercial Maytag is the best bang for buck in new top loader machines. Far less cost than any SQ and great reviews.

    @@garykarczewski6678 They're not. They are designed like the post 2011 Whirlpool belt drives, and they have not been reliable. You will probably only get a few years, if that, out of them.

    @@lexlarkin For Whirlpool and Maytags in a couple of later instances here, I have seen videos of the belt drives showing errors (status lights blinking a certain way), two people commenting about their's stopped working after 3 or 4 years. Another user said he had two of them, I think one for his folks, and one for his friend. One stopped after 3 years, and the other I think after 5. Someone else on here said that their splutch went out after a year, and two other users said theirs kept going out of balance no matter what they did. Just look at them, they operate exactly the same way. If the separate drain pump ever stops working, have fun getting all that water out by hand.

    Well done! I remember when you had the video of the moving blanket in the direct drive (Maytag brand), then the 2018 SQ. It didn't turn over AT ALL in that 2018 machine and in the direct drive, it did. In this one, it took just a little time, but eventually it all started turning over.......with a still-indexing tub, and with low speed agitation! Much better wash action for sure!

    Sharkie with the 2018 S.Q. You really don't need turn over, Because the water does the washing by surging through the clothes no matter if their on the top or on the bottom!!! With the regular agitator washer yes they would have to be turned over and brought down to the paddles for sufficient cleaning but with the agitub, the water just surges through the clothing for thorough cleaning and I haven't been disappointed yet...

    @Sharkie626

    @@maryrobert80 The thing though is, the other models do that as well. If you watch these machines agitate with no clothes, there are serious water currents as it goes back and forth. I know some have mentioned about lint, but I have never had any such issue. I have a feeling some are mixing fabrics that they shouldn't. That's my guess anyway.

    @@Sharkie626 I guess in reality it all depends on how people wash and how much they put in one load??? I only do full loads because I don't want to run the electric bill up doing twice as many small one's But all and all I have never been disappointed with this machine yet...

    The slower speed on the agitator reminds me of the Soak cycle agitator speed on my 2016 AWN432. I often use that cycle for my quilts and blankets rather than the delicate cycle because the delicate cycle is just TOO delicate with little agitation. Of course I have to watch it when I use SOAK cycle for my blankets. Of course I also have to run a separate rinse cycle. What I like to do is twist the timer knob to the ECO Rinse and let it spin out the water and spray rinse the blankets, then do another SOAK cycle to give it a good dunk rinse. Then I move the timer around to the Heavy Duty spin cycle to give it a good fast final spin. That's why I love my manual timer Speed Queen.

    I'd like to see the perm press cycle. The cycle matrix says that does a medium agitation so I'm curious what that looks like.

    Is there any way to do a "rinse only" (rinse & spin) on this machine? I know in the unboxing video you mentioned that perhaps selecting extra rinse and spin in combination could provide this if the machine were set up for that. Very curious to know if that works, as I am really liking what I'm seeing of this washer but want something with a rinse only option. Thank you so much for these videos; they are very helpful and appreciated!

    Whenever I do a load.....I let the water fill up the drum.....then I add what I'm washing.....then put the detergent in. Do you think this would make a difference? When you put in first the detergent it's covered up. Just my opinion. What do you think?
