Just found your channel and subscribed. Excellent video. I put the SV Racing brackets on about a year ago. They make a difference. I also put on bar risers I think about 25mm up and 20 mm back. I am 5 foot 11 inches tall and I stand up a lot when I ride and it definitely makes it a better experience for me. I have just turned 79 in March and my legs get tired sitting down on a 300km ride. I just watched you grease the head stock bearings great job. I have done 50,000 km on my 650 XT since new April 2018 and the steering still feels very smooth to me. I don’t ride on dirt roads very often though. It’s something I will have a closer look at. Greetings from Brisbane Australia

Greetings from Ireland,I am just after finding your channel.I bought my new Vstrom 650 XT 6 months ago,I traded my 2008 Strom 650DL.It was my 65th birthday present to myself,it is the 25th bike i have owned since I bought my first in 1972.I have fitted the same peg lowering kit to my new bike and a rad gaurd plus bar risers. Here in Ireland we don,t do much trail riding.I am heading to Spain in 3 weeks for a month of touring.Getting my Strom serviced and checked over next week for the long trip..PS I also fitted a Scottoiler X system,I had one on my last bike and found it worked brilliantly..Looking forward to watching more of your videos..

I’m loving your vids. You’re making it so easy for me. My footpeg lowering plates shipped today, along with a set of foot controls relocating plates to move the controls forward quite a bit. By next week my legs won’t cramping up, and I’ll be able get my cursed size 15s in there with actual riding boots on. I can’t even get a hiking boot under there right now, so I’ve got a little piece of wood screwed into the front of the toe to upshift. Will I ever be happy to be rid of that.

Thank you for your video. I just bought today a new 1050 I definitely need to lower the pegs. As always your review and "how-to" are remarkably clear and easy to understand. Thank you again. Secondly, may I ask what the skid plate is you have on your VStrom. I really like the looks of it. My riding is probably 97% tarmac, 2% gravel and the rest very minor off-road.
