I think it's super cool how honest Misha is about parenting and how he had an AHA! moment when he realized that it's not all about you (the parent). I don't know about other parents, but for me, when I found out I was pg at 24 (relatively young and immature) I had an idealized picture in my head that basically my child would be a mini version of myself and we would love the same things and be into the same stuff and it would be great! (Kind of llike a Tampax commercial, where Mother and Daughter are laughing BFF's, enjoying each other's company immensely!)🤣😂 I could hardly wait til he could talk and once again I imagined deep, meaningful and philosophical conversations that would happen between the two of us. Then, my child turned into a teenager ( need I say more?!) and now he's a young man who barely grunts at me and only when he needs something (usually 💰). My biggest revelation was that our children are actually people with their own minds, thoughts and feelings! Who knew?!?! 🤣😂🤣😂 And that it's ok, challenging sometimes for sure, but for the most part, enjoyable! Children definitely teach you so many things ( the list is too long to go into on here and is obviously different for everyone) but as long as you're receptive I believe they keep teaching you until the day you're gone...and hopefully the belief that we learn from each other is reciprocated!! 😊
