I don’t know if he had launch control or not but I have the Honda equivalent to that bike and when you are in to high of a gear it sounds way different so that probably not the case

First off I wouldn't be bouncing my bike off rev limiter like that unless you wanna buy new engine really soon! Half throttle and then slip clutch then full throttle when gate drops. That's how you effectively take off without potentially blowing your motor;)

I have a beautiful mint 03 rm125. Some privateer raced it in monster energy supercross in early 2000s. Thing was kept up amazing. Can't believe that people really want bikes that are easier because people don't want to practice their skill. Absolutely sucks.

Launch control retards the ignition making it spin less off launch, so it will sound like the clutch is slipping. Also take into consideration the fact he is dragging out the clutch to keep the front end down and out the power to the rear tire for a faster launch. A good launch isn’t just rev limiter and clutch dump

If you have a launch control button or don’t it works the same way, skootch way up the seat till the point where your almost sitting on the gas tank, lean forward, get the engine to a nice high rev and the let the clutch very fast and then depending on if you wheelie or not (unlikely) keep the throttle wide open
