2019 RAM 2500 Laramie Longhorn Review | 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

TestDrive is behind the wheel of our first Heavy Duty pickup truck, the 2019 RAM 2500 Laramie Longhorn Mega Cab with the 6.7L Cummins® Turbo Diesel engine.
PRN T-Shirts now available! Check out our original designs here: teespring.com/stores/prn
Our full tour and review of this heavy duty pickup truck covers everything you need to know about the newest generation RAM 2500, including what features you get with the Laramie Longhorn trim, along with different options and packages available, and what's different with the Mega Cab. We discuss the exterior design and mechanical changes over the previous generation RAM Heavy Duty as well as how this truck compares to the 2019 RAM 1500 Limited we featured last year.
We jump on the inside of the cattle brown/black leather Longhorn trim to go over the filigree engraving, leather, and copper accents and trim found throughout this truck. Ventilated and heated front seats with driver memory, heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, and the Uconnect 12" infotainment system are some of the features found on this truck. Options like the power sunroof and Longhorn Level 1 Group add more luxury features to this $98,000.00 vehicle.
We take the 2019 RAM 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel on a road test to talk about how this vehicle performs and handles, what kind of towing and payload capacities it has, and how the engine performs at 370 hp, 850 lb-ft of torque. We also talk about our experiences driving this truck over a full week, and what kind of real world fuel economy and MPG we achieved during our 1,400kms we drove.
TestDrive wraps up our full episode and review on the 2019 RAM 2500 Laramie Longhorn Mega Cab 4x4 with our real world fuel economy testing results, and what we liked and disliked most about this 3/4 tonne truck.

    Wow this vehicle is a tower of power 😆 it makes you look tiny, it fits you perfect. Truth be told I probably want same thing but no diesel for me. Want is strong with this one and all that chrome and white lettering on tires, love that Cowboy interior - ❤️ somewhere Silverado and new Chevy HD interiors are crying in shame

    This really puts the GM trucks to shame on the interior side of things, even the Ford F Series is looking aged by comparison.

    With less than 2k payload, you're not towing much in the way of 5th wheel/gooseneck. This thing is more tailored towards bumper towing. Also I wouldnt buy a diesel with todays emissions equipment unless I moved somewhere without emissions testing. Fords new 7.3 gas v8 might close a lot of the gap between diesel and gas capability. They targeted silence in all trims of the truck because people who use these for work/hot shotting spend all day in them and the goal was to reduce strain on the driver's ears. So even the tradesman is pretty close in silence.

  • @PRNTestDrive

    @PRNTestDrive

    Gooseneck towing can be limited based on this payload, depends on what type of trailer you're hauling and where the load sits. Good to know about the noise control on all trims though, I was wondering what something like the 2500 Tradesman would be like on a daily basis without all the luxury and tech.

  • @james2042

    @@PRNTestDrive well with non bumper towing, you're limited to a 8,000-10,000lb trailer due to pin weight. Gooseneck/5th wheel puts 20-25% of trailer weight on the truck, and 5th wheel also include the weight of the hitch. The noise cancelling is probably the only standard "luxury" tech across all the trims. Also things like the air suspension, ram boxes, and bluetooth phone integration are available on tradesman.

    so big that you looks like a child beside a regular car, seriously how a vehicle should be that big when 95% of them (luxurious pickups) are used by a single person... some times ago i parked my little car beside a previous gen ram 1500 and was so big, i cant even immagine this :D probably only fit in semi trailers parking slot
