Was a ram hater and a GM diehard till my dad got a 15’ 5.7, still has it w 160,000 and it rides and drives just as good as they day he bought it. Got a new one earlier this year and haven’t looked back. Still like GM of course, just currently prefer Mopar. Jesus Christ I never thought I’d type that

That was funny. I have a 20 RAM Laramie. My wife has an 18 Yukon Denali. I would rather drive my RAM any day. I used to be a GM salesman and a RAM hater too.

Lol , I agree 💯 Ram is killing the Game with the nicest interior and that 12" screen , the floor boxes in the back seat floor , and the leg room with the big cab area is so great for your passengers especially on longer rides👍 , in today's time technology and comfort is the way to go .

I used to hate Dodge RAMS, then the 2019 RAM came out and I was blown away - no longer the ugly kid on the block.

Ram owns the luxury interior game. Point blank.

As a Mopar Guy I have to say I appreciate the fact that you’re actually doing this on your channel .... when it comes to cars I’m very open minded to all auto makers for and domestic and you should be too !

Yes sir rams are awesome. 2nd best selling truck in the US of a. Unfortunately chevy is 3rd place followed by Toyota. Ford n dodge- ram are on top of there game. Chevy dosnt really have much going on. The trail boss is ok but ain't got nothin on trx, raptor, rebel lightning, even the f150 economy boost is a fast as truck for a 3 liter v6

Love watching the air suspension go into aero mode as they rev it up

478 is pretty good. The 5.7 is capable of a shy over 600 on stock internals.

The new 5.7 comes with the same roller rockers as the 6.2 supercharged HellCat. The only thing that is a little shy in that 5.7 are the rods. Anything over 600 HP those rods are going to stretch too much and something isn't going to stay in place.

I'm about to go and shove a borescope into the valve cover of my 2020 Gen 3 5.7 to test this theory....I have even installed a set of aftermarket roller tip shaft mount rockers on a hellcat... how do you put a roller rocker on a shaft mount head?

Pllluuuease,... seen stock 5.7 take 19 psi put down 4 digit numbers on stock rotating assembly with cam+boost.

I daily a 2003 Ram 1500. She's got approx 230k miles and still going strong on all stock parts. She's got a 4.7 V8. Personally, Mopar isn't the same since FIAT bought them out but atleast they kept the Hemi's.

Yes Mopar baby please add more hemi content

What all did you have to do to the truck in order for it to handle the supercharger?

Drove my Dodge to New York from Texas and back got over 21 mpg comfortable parks right next to my Camaro

Interior of ram compared to ALL other trucks is what sold me.. 2023 denalis will be looking better..

Which supercharger setup is that. I have a 2019 limited and can’t find it on the whippel site for that year

When I was working at a Dodge service dept and they came out with the twist knob for the shifter I really didn’t like it. However, it really cleaned up the steering column and center console. Just purchased a 23 Rebel and really like it amongst many other things.

Light pointing down is bed light. I have an '06 Ram 1500 Laramie. Been a good truck

Actually there's no dash light for the bed light. The light they're referring to is the green one showing your courtesy lights under the side mirrors are on. Comes on everytime I open the door on my 2019 RAM 1500.

Did you delete the mds system ? Would this be reliable without deleting the mds

These are great numbers to see. I have the 2019 RAM and have it CAM w/ Jay Greene Tune and full bolt-on. I look forward to doing this Whipple charger.

@@user-km9gn1qh6p COMP CAM v2 205/222 - works great with a stock to 2800-3000 converter, or a stock to 2600 and it does very well with 8 speed trans. Also very good for a when I do a Whipple SC. hope this helps

Do you know how Much hp you’re at the wheels now? Bc I know a cam and tune is better than 10k for a charger lol. with 10k I can cam and tune my ram, and drop a 6.0/4l80e with headers and a tune in my 04 Silverado I use as a beater lol

@@42ambrocio Mines dyno at 402 at the wheels, can not remember the torque. My cam is smaller, but i can feel a big difference. In all wheel drive 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, not to to bad for a heavy beast. LOL

Can't understand why the baseline for the dyno sheet is MPH instead of RPM. Could make sense of that at least. Since you don't know exact tire diameter, the actual gear it is in, or how much slip the converter has you can't really calculate the rpm. Can anybody explain why they do this?

In order to roll the truck with it on in neutral with the driver door open, you have to press in the three position switch that controls the parking brake. So, reach down and push the button in, the truck should roll. If not, there is a panel beneath that button, behind that panel you will find a nylon and cotton strap that once pulled out fully it will disengage the transmission allowing you to roll the truck no matter what. To reset that, just pull it again and it will return to it's initial position.

This is my dad’s truck. Awesome job. She’s a beast.

Been thinking of doing the same thing to my 6.4. But I don't know with out forged internals or adjusting that tight ass ring gap that both the 5.7 and 6.4 have. Have to let me know how it holds up.

The supercharger link you have listed is for a 4th gen Ram, Is that the kit you installed?

That ram rips! Best looking trucks too in my opinion. The night edition rams sell like hot cakes where i live. Go a dyno a G\T ram you can hold the gears longer with the paddle shifters.

The protractor and conversion charts are only there too hide the castig flaw (middle dimple) in the compartment

Definitely gonna drop my gto off here for some work

Love the engine and exhaust notes. The extra power would be awesome. Can’t get past the fact that you guys don’t Ram has been it’s own separate brand since 2009 or how to work the gear shift or gear limit. Seems odd for a bunch of car guys.

Whipple is making a kit for the hemi etorque rams. Should be available by end of 2023/early 2024.

Reliability? Compared to a stock ram 5.7

Wow, love how you guys are branching out to different makes. Mustangs and now Ram trucks! Lol. My 16 Ram is a full bolt on truck with email tune and dyno’’d at 375 hp and 399 torque on 93 octane. Lots of potential with these trucks. I would love my next move to be a Whipple or Procharger! Wold love to have 500+ at the wheels. Get that c8 into the nines!

No. While you can pull weight easier, towing capacity is determined by other factors, such as stopping power and how much weight you can actually support with bearings, wheels, etc.

Stats please! What’s the 0-60 & quarter mile times after adding the whipple? This will depend on which route I go with the truck or just a secondary vehicle altogether. Thanks!

Put 200,000 miles on my 2010 ram 5.7 hemi sport b4 I traded it. I drove the piss out of it non stop.

How did it hold up after that many miles?? I know others with high miles and had great success. Just regular maintenance. Motor, transmission and diff all original. No issues at all. That’s why I went Ram and these guys beat there trucks.

@@ramrider1453 rear window regular failed, computer had to be replaced at 170,000 because fuel injection timer apparently burnt it up due to being clogged. Other than that everything was 👍 good

cab is the same used as 09-18 just front end changed and interior outer exterior stayed the same doors will all bolt up to the 19 and 20

You can hold a gear with the autoshift button on the steering wheel.

@RDSPRERUNNING 33 I'm being hypercritical. I definitely love the evolution of the Rams, but I don't agree with the value to price ratio. But to your other point, naturally aspirated V8s have so much proven potential and I am also not sure why Ford would abandon this power plant in such sweeping numbers. I'm in the market for a new truck and Ford was a top contender, but with an eco boost V6, they aren't anymore. 😡. I have owned vehicles with the Ford 5.0, Chevy 5.3 and the Ram 5.7 and all engines were as solid as ever. Disappointed in Ford's manufacturing decisions.

@RDSPRERUNNING 33 It's actually not that bad. I have 196k on an 06 and it's showing wear that's indicative of a 15 year old vehicle. I had to replace the kick down solenoid, other than that, it's pretty solid. I'm really just talking crap, because I hate the fricken prices of new trucks.

@RDSPRERUNNING 33 And yes, six speed auto, with the 5.7 Hemi and MDS system. Lifter noise for days, but I keep the oil changed and haven't had a problem. And I definitely agree that the 5.0 is a top tier V8 in comparison to the 5.7 with MDS tech. MDS and the hemi engine is not a good combo, at all.

I’d love to see a ram 2500 or 3500 6.4 hemi with a whipple 3.0 or 3.8 whipple if possible to make 600 whp only and with full exhaust and headers intake tb tune is say 800whp with heads and cam as well easy cause 6.4 make 410 hp 429 tq vs 5.7 like my 18 does 395hp/400tq

A 2.9L Whipple flows enough for north of 1,000hp alone. Adding more N/a power will require less boost and stress on the motor. 💪🏻

If that was my 19 ram 1500 I’d at least have a cold air intake thottle body full exhaust and headers. Tune and a 3.0 whipple not the 2.9 whipple. And hopefully make 600whp and maybe I’d put a heads cam package too to hit that my goal of 750 whp in a 5.7 maybe add some fueling and other supporting mods to support 1000 hp maybe hit 800 whp ar most

The center console is bigger than the Denali 😂 it opens up further than what he shows and it goes back and forth. I would have bought a 1500 rst but boy my new ram is just better 😂 I was sold for months on the rst but I sat in and drove the ram not even close in my opinion.

Probably 5. They used the damn canned tune and didn't do a proper tune.
