This is what you can expect on a Piaggio MP3 500 HPE Sport Advanced. You can ride this with either A2 or B license. For B (car) license you might need to check if your B license is eligible for it as in The Netherlands you must have obtained the B license before 19-JAN-2013. If you obtained your B license ON of AFTER that date you need to get your motorcycle license to ride it. These rules can differ per country. Check your local laws about this.
ASR is NOT disabled in the video (but it never intervened as roads over here are of near perfect quality).

I have a 2019 MP3 500 and I can't seem to get the gas tank lid to open. Does it make a difference if you have the scooter on the kickstand? Do the handle bars have to be in the left locked position? Does the parking brake need to be engaged? I press down and turn clockwise on the ignition key... and nothing happens. I know this is stupid, but I could use your help.

It has been a year ago for me. I can't remember but I think you will have to turn the key somehow (perhaps counterclockwise). For as far as I know it does not have to be on center stand nor does it have to be locked. What does the manual say? I don't own this MP3, had it for a review.

Press your hands down on the gas slipcover while trying the key 🔑 to open.
Can you prepare these Mp3 scooters for my poor country Pakistan like built after ww2 for Italy, Honda & other's at reasonable price for white collar?It is an excellent design.Can be easily run by anyone.All the vespa models are expensive in my country. Even no white collar can think to buy this majestic vehicle.
what's the permanent orange light on the board ? still not full powerful led light in 2020 ?

Fuel light. Led light for head lights or dashboard lights? I think these are leds in the dash but not 100% sure.
I don't know where it is but there was a video by a Brit MP3 500 rider who measured a tad below 9 s, I think it was 8.6 s, digitally stopped.

Strange, other mp3s make 100 km/h in 7-8 s! In 11,5 s they got 125 km/h. I hear too low revs for full acceleration in comparision to other mp3s. Edit. Check other films, there revs at full acceleration are 7-8k, you got 5k only. Check this mp3, something is broken, rollers at vario I think its first to check...

It had 5.000 kilometers on the clock. And for as far as I have seen it was not in ECO mode. But this thing weighs 282 kilograms. That is a lot. This is the model of the importer which is given to the press. Are the other models Euro4 too? All models as of 2016 are Euro4 and they need to have cleaner emissions so they can be slower.

@@MotoSnax Something is totally broken. My brand new MP3 500 hpe Euro4 is way faster. While watching your video I constantly was thinking "Why is he not going full throttle?"

@@rostfomin I really don't know, this is how I got it from the importer. They should know what they are doing. Eco was not enabled. Not sure why this one was slower.

I think something is broken. At least on mine.. a 2019 bought second hand, and even with ASR/Eco off it takes 14-15 seconds to reach 100km/h. My weight is 90.

@@rostfomin he probably has a governor that limits his speed on this trike. My 2009 400cc rips on the highway 👍🏼
My mp3 400 2011 does the run in 8.5 seconds..and my weight is 90 kg

My 2nd comment. Now I got my own mp3 500 and is muuuuch faster. I think you had ECOnomy engine fuel map mode ON. Difference is very noticable. After vario change It makes 100 in 6 seconds. In 11,5 s I got 130 km/h...

It was not set to eco mode. The MP3 is a heavy bike and next to that I weight 95 kgs. Another vario can change a lot. In 2011 an MP3 500 did about 11 seconds from 0-100 and that was Euro3. This is Euro4 which should pollute less.

@@MotoSnax The ASR is very nervous on these scooters. Turning it off on my 2019 500hpe feels like adding 10hp. Haven't measured acc. on mine, but I'm confident turning off ASR would bring acc. way below 10s.

@@MotoSnax I bought my 500hpe 2019 second hand when it was only 1.5 years old. My weight is around 90kg, but I get to 100km/h in as much as 14 to 15s with ASR/Eco off... Starting to wonder if I have benn scammed, if it is a #500# with a 300 or 350 engine..
When your HPE Sport Advanced tricycle has the same 0-100 as most normal cars :p

This trike can outrun any car at the stoplight. Now if we are talking about a fast foreign car then no way.

@@yahuraelyt7709 Why foreign? It deppends on where you’re from. 500hp electric cars are being made 5kms from where I live… they will never be outrun by combustion motors.

@@yahuraelyt7709 My cheap MG5 does 0 to 30 in 1.6 seconds....60mph in 7.6 so I'd say that trike can definitely be beaten from the lights 😂
Aww man, I think I'll stick with my 2008 scarabeo 500i.e.
My 2013 mp3 500i does this in 7.6 seconds

Yeah not sure why this one was so slow. For a 500cc it is slow... I'm sure ECO mode was not enabled.
Zo rijd een 50cc scooter ook met vario ring, kijk die overbrengingen eens na, mijn 70cc is in 7 sec op de 💯, je kan makkelijk optrekken met 10.000 rpm of meer even je overbrenging veranderen!

It is a motorscooter for car drivers, so fast enough for them. If they want to go faster, they should get a motorcycle license. :)

Maybe the MP3 500 is slowed because it is for car driver.s On the other hand others were telling me theirs was faster. So maybe there was something wrong with this specific 500. I hope to ride the SYM TL500 soon.

Its so slow
Lame, because it has just too low power for this huge price. A over thirty years old bike has a better acceleration with 27 hp than this piaggio "trike" and it looks much better than this thing. 😁

Japanese kei cars. :) It weighs a ton but car drivers can ride this too so I don't mind it being this 'fast'.

@@MotoSnax yes driving a big scooter with B license sounds good, A license at least here is a pain in the ass to obtain, many fail road driving test several times, me too and i have only 1 another chance left :( but i still rided 9000km with temporary permission lol...

How can you have one chance left? Over here you can try until you give up yourself. After 4 times or so, you can get another exam over here. Not easier, but they want to find out why someone fails.

This is Euro4, in 2010 it was probably a Euro2 or Euro3 engine. That also makes a difference. Or there was something not right with this demo.
