    Joe I mean the noise transmitted by the suspension into the cabin while driving over road expansion joints, potholes, etc. From the video it sounds like Honda could have done a better job of isolating those noises. Edit: I wore headphones, as recommended, while watching this video.

  • @rainmannoodles

    @rainmannoodles

    In the Touring (with the adaptive suspension) road noise is definitely noticeable on certain surfaces, especially in sport mode, which is basically what the Sport trim's suspension is "stuck" in. Wind noise is very low though, so on a smooth surface it's really quiet. The trims with smaller wheels (without the low-profile tires) have better road noise isolation, so I'm told.

    @@VasyaIvanovichPupkin Yeah, nah. Subaru's just lazy. Every other automaker that offers manuals with their active safety suites (VW, Mazda, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, etc.) all offer their manuals with everything the automatic counterparts come with, bar some exceptions like stop-and-go cruise control in traffic (since the clutch can't disengage itself without your own input). Subaru's just making excuses. It's more likely that Subaru doesn't want to invest in the R&D to make implement EyeSight with their manual models.

    Even after reducing engine displacement, weight and better drag coefficient, the 2.0T still only comes to 26mpg average? That’s the same mpg as the heavier V6 Camry and I’m starting to wonder why that was necessary? I’d prefer the reliability and sound of a V6 over the turbo 4’s power bump. That said, I still love the Accord.

    What? Paddle Shifters in a manual review? Paddle Shifters would more likely be present in the automatic version of the car.

    I think it sounds noisy in this video because they use a very good mic setup and they have the radio off during the video. So the road noise is amplified.

    With modern cars being what they are it’s hard to gauge what is acceptable levels of road noise!

  • @theconformist2399

    It is. Other reviewers have noted the Accord being louder than expected. It's partly due to the low profile tires on the Sport trim. The Touring trim is a tad quieter with thicker tires and active noise cancellation. The Camry is a bit quieter than the Accord, though more tame to drive as well. The Mazda6 is, I believe, the quietest of the three right now.

    theconformist Yeah that too. Honda’s in general have above normal road noise. Nothing too bad, but I’ve owned several and they are all like that. They have gotten better over the years, but still seems to be a common theme with them.
